It's an East-meets-West space western with good writing and great characters. Plenty of action and, just as importantly, lots of laughs, too. You should look into it, it's one of the best TV shows I've ever come across.

Basically... Space Cowboys. Yeah, serenity is meant to have been the conclusion to the never finished series. Although the film is nothing compared to the series. I have shown the series to numerous amounts of people and the vast majority of them enjoy it, even if they aren't sci-fi fans.
