I live in catered accommodation here at my University (for this year, at least), so my dinner was lovely, as only a cooked-for-you dinner can be. Even better, it was that king of culinary excellence, a jacket potato with baked beans and cheese and a side serving of salad. Mmmm.

Of course, that was nearly 6 hours ago now, so now I'm midnight-snacking on tomato soup with toast and marmite. Double mmmm, with an extra helping of marmitey goodness.
I am so goddamn jealous! The Jacket Potato with Beans and Cheese is my favourite meal ever... seriously! I cannot get over how much I love that meal!! Especially when the cheese all melts into the beans!! :p

I had some fish fillets, peas, and corn. Wasn't too bad, but I wouldn't say it was something I'll remember at all.

Last night (because this topic was made at 10am) I worked late, so I grabbed a sausage roll from the cafe because it was going to be thrown out. Tonight, I have a marinated rump steak. My own delicious recipe.

I ate hours ago but I had a Ruben made by my GF's dad. Loves me some Ruben! I can't get them at home because I'm the only one there who likes sauerkraut. A couple of hours ago (after dinner) I had a slice of tiramisu cheesecake made by my GF (first bite of it and I damn near proposed right then and there)

I had pork cut up in about 1 inch cubes with a soy sauce, turmeric, peanut butter, onions, garlic rub. Then skewered with pineapple under a broiler for 10 min and served with a soy sauce, peanut butter and coconut milk sauce. I cooked most of it with help from my girl friend. My other roommate isn't allowed in the kitchen. It was fucking delicious. Not sure what the hell it's called.

Nothing, my mom made salmon and then said she didn't have enough for me so and her and my dad proceeded to eat it in front of me. I got pissed and left. I'll end up having whatever shit I can cook in 3 minutes.

As an amazingly poor person, I threw some Mayo on a canned chicken spread and put that in-between two pieces of bread. Then with what I like to think was a stroke of artistic genius, I preceded to eat the rest of said spread with a bunch of Doritos's chips...

Yup... Fun night indeed.

Last night rocked, meat loaf... mmm tasty.

Being young and broke really makes it difficult to have anything that isn't instant.
I know how to cook, but the ingredients get expensive.

Last night? My interpretation of quiche Lorraine with potato salad, pease pudding and crispy leaf salad.

Tonight? Home-made chicken and leek pie with steamed broccoli, carrots and green beans.

As for who prepares them, that'd be me. I find cooking to be almost therapeutic, and a great way to unwind after a shitty day at work. Unfortunately living on my tod means I'm always saddled with the washing up as well! :)

Had a good ol' barbie, so just a few snags on slices of bread with tomato (and sometimes barbecue!) sauce. Not to mention a bit of salad (coz I'm a healthy ************).
