We can't really make any real assumptions until this generation has run it's course.
We are still playing through the hangover of the last gen and while games like Mirrors Edge and LBP and some of the DL games for thier respective consoles are interesting ideas we've yet to see any major innovations for full release games.

the playstation4 will be dirt cheap and stripped of all unnecessary features, but will still be the cheapest blue-ray player on the market...

nintendo will name their next console "Poo" simply so that they can release the games PooPlay, PooSports and PooFit...
