Popcorn alone has almost nothing to it.

Pizza is a load of carbs standard, with a variant on the selection of toppings. Store-bought or restaurant also means a lot more sodium and grease than home-made though.

When the right side of my body neurologically shut down, I went to a liver specialist. (Not to mention a whole boat load of other specialists, but this one is relevant to the OP.) He said, and I quote, "Pizza is the best food."

I stopped listening there. As an avid and vocal lover of pizza, my ego shot thru the atmosphere.

He continued to say "...as it was meant to be made." However, that fell to the wayside as I was celebrating my love for pizza anew.

Depends what you put on either the pizza or the popcorn.. just simple salted popcorn is 100% fine as is just a simple topped pizza.. its when you start going crazy with ingredients and additives you get into health problems.

A recent study was done showing that the best breakfast foods were ones high in protein and carbohydrates. A nice meaty pizza is therefore one of the best breakfast foods; as it contains good amounts of both. Plus, it's more of a meal than popcorn....
No, a pizza contains alot of calories, but not many of those are carbs. They are mostly fat, and this fat is processed to fuck. There might be protein on it in form of ham or something, but that is also fatty. The best you could do is dark bread with good butter and chicken on it, and milk to drink.

Popcorn. It's ridiculously low fat and one of the healthiest snacks. Pizza is basically white bread with toppings, unhealthy no matter how you spin it, even if you eat the vegeterian pizza.

I know it sounds like an odd question but hear me out.

I don't know what to make for supper and most of the stuff here (my house) I'd have to thaw it and well I just don't have that kind of time so I figure I could go get a slice of pizza (which isn't expensive, I am kind of on a budget, as in i don't feel like going to a restaurant) ooor popcorn because it's easy to make, really I'm just looking for something to fill me up till tomorrow. Also I want to know which is healthier so I don't feel bad when I eat one or the other (I know they're both bad but oh well) also that's stove-top popped popcorn not microwave.
It depends whats on the pizza depending on what diet your doing it can vary, but if your going for low carbs you could just scrape the toppings off the top of the pizza :p either that or plain popcorn. x)

popcorn won't keep you fed. A big bowl of popcorn is maybe 100g of food and it's a ton of salt, fat and god knows what additives if you're having some flavours. Pizza is actually pretty decent if you get something with some vegetables and some meat. Much higher nutritional value, you might even get a vitamin or two in there if it's not cooked to a crisp.

Popcorn is only low on fat if you eat it 100% plain and pop it yourself without any oil. Even so, without salt it tastes like cardboard.

Anything you buy is going to have a buttload of both fat and salt at least.

Put popcorn on your pizza, simples.

As others have said it depends on the quantity and the toppings. I would go for pizza, more nutritious I would say.

I'd say pizza, as long as you put some vegetable matter on it.
It's slightly irrelevant, but I find popcorn to be really not filling at all, so I'd advise against eating it as a meal...

Depends on the Pizza, Depends on the Popcorn. Heavily salted, buttered Popcorn is gonna be far less healthy then a low fat pizza with a vegetable topping and a thick, meatfilled pizza is gonna be less healthy then just plain Popcorn.

Also Quantity.

Well, for one, I wasn't talking about buying it, I meant make your own (it's really simple as fuck). But also, where I buy my popcorn, they don't drown it in oil and salt, you add salt yourself the way you like it and they're relatively moderate on oil. I also never add butter on popcorn, just don't need it.

More importantly though, I didn't say it's healthy, just that it is healthier. Compared to any pizza you either make or buy, it is a lot healthier and lower on calories, which is only natural, considering pizza is not a snack, it's a meal.

The main problem with pizza is that due to the oils and ingredients used, and the high amount of carbohydrate and fat, it contains a lot of calories. Popcorn contains fewer calories (at least it should, depending on how much butter and sugar and stuff is dumped on top of it).

However, as long as you aren't eating an enormous amount of calories per day, as a meal pizza is probably healthier. It is more important to eat a balanced diet, representing a variety of different types of food, than it is to eat the fewest calories possible. This is why a diet of nothing but rice, even if you eat the right amount of calories to maintain a healthy weight for the amount of exercise you do, is still bad for you.

If you put meat and veg (or pineapple, if you're one of THOSE people) on your pizza then more food groups will be represented than if you just eat pizza.

Lower calories does not always equal healthier.

Allow Russell Howard to enlighten.

Ok, I'll admit, I laughed at that. Not bad.

But really, it's all just sensationalist scaremongering to get people to read their crap.

Neither?

One is some decent toppings on top of a wheat based crust (terrible for you). The other is basically a popped grain (also not great for you).

If you're going to eat either I'd say have a slice of the pizza because at least you're going to get some protein in there, but frankly, I'd skip both. But if you're going to eat them anyway don't bother feeling bad. Just know that neither is healthy so try not to eat them every day or anything silly like that.

Popcorn is one of the healthiest snacks...When its not drowned in Sugar, butter or toffee.

Pizza is moderation is fine too, Since you haven't mentioned anything about weight loss just for what ever you fancy.
