Well I can't see in 3D, so that whole aspect is completely lost to me (I still got a 3DS, I just never tried using the 3D on it). As for motion controls, I'm staying away from those until they find a way to make them work 100% of the time (or they find a way for the player to not need half the sitting room for the movements to register properly).

Kinect had a lot of potential, but I think because it became available at the worst point of the recession game companies weren't willing to risk the money in developing quality games for it, rather they would rely on releasing tried and true existing formulas. "Better with Kinect" seemed to have some success as games like Mass Effect 3 used Kinect's voice recognition technology to allow the player to give voice commands.

Technically FPS might work on Kinect, I think it can read finger movement. So you could point make your hand into a gun and point it at the screen. Although this would make you feel like you were five years old so it would probably be a bad idea. That's one of the challenges with developing on new hardware that doesn't fit into existing game design patterns and again because game budgets were tight I don't think companies wanted to risk money on creating something new.

Hopefully Oculus Rift will fare better. From what I've seen it looks cool and could add a new level of immersion to games.

3d bewbs, and the ability to motion control them.
Ha Ha someone else already thought of that. This reminds me of GTA San Andreas hot coffee mod, except a lot creepier.
