Ah. Another day, another Titanfall related thread with the OP essentially saying...
Well, at least this means we'll see fewer "Why is Half-Life good?", "Why is Halo popular?", or similar threads.
Maybe.
Possibly.

You can hop out of your Titan at any time, which allows you to shoot someone off its back. There are also equippable tools that counteract offending Pilots. (electric smoke, for example)

Because they're incredibly fun to pilot? :/Rattja said:I basically just one question, why would I want to pilot a Titan?
This is not the case at all in Titanfall. The Titans a fast, nimble, and supremely powerful. However, they aren't indestructable. They can be taken out; quickly even; with proper play. (and poor play on the pilots part)In any game I have played where I pilot any kind of mech, it's like fighting off flies on a hot summer day. Sure you have more firepower, and you can take hits like a champ, but you are also slow and 1 vs many, often with severly limmited view.
Only if you're an idiot. (not you)Had a quick look at some gameplay, and it looks like all a player has to do is get on your back, and then you're fucked.

All I can say is, don't knock it 'til you try it. You might be surprised. So these things are cool and all, but from a practical standpoint in a FPS setting I just don't know...
You're barking up the wrong tree, my friend. He, and many others like him around here, openly admit they aren't fans of online shooters, first-person shooters, or even multiplayer games in general.Caliostro said:Would you list some "original" or "different" games according to your standards then?
