Gotta share the love on my favorite rpg ever. Legend of dragoon. It's an rpg with quicktime events that are the attacks. it has an amazing soundtrack, voice acting is used about 5 times (and it's actually not that bad)and the graphics are really great

Advance Guardian Heroes.

It's like Smash Bros. meets Dragonball on the GBA. And it's awesome.

Mana Khemia, a PS2 JRPG with a weird name and a strange light tone, but for some reason the game is really fun and it doesn't actually require grinding which I am very thankful for.

I love playing GunZ : The Duel. Although the graphics are on the low side, the gameplay is awesome. What's unique about it is you can run across or up walls, roll to avoid attacks, or even wall hang using melee weapons. Very fun, but it's hard to find reliable private servers, since ijji sorta screwed it up.

I really wanted to buy Earth Defense Force 2, but I can't seem to find a copy here in Tucson. Don't know what's dealio.

Well, mine are:

.Hack series,
Monday Night Combat,
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, a Reckless Disregard for Gravity,
and finally, The Neverhood.

Blade Kitten

<- Featuring a main character that would be a good choice for an avatar.

Very silly, but nice inventive graphics style, and the pieces more or less come together.

Also, more of less anything by Spiderweb, in particular Exile 3 and Blade of Exile. though, BoE might not count, since it was the community that made most of the content. Nephil's Gambit is a fan made scenario that, IMHO, is superior to the official stuff Spiderweb brought out which weren't shoddy efforts either.

Spiderweb games generally have very good atmosphers and world building.

You most likely didn't even hear of it but I loved Carnage Heart [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnage_Heart] back in the day. :D
I've heard of it! I bring that game up often in similar threads. Cool to see another fan.

House of the Dead 2 on the Dream Cast. I loved the game because it was easy enough to the point where i could sit down and enjoy it with my buddies. It was one of those zombie rail shooters its supposed to be an arcade game like at Dave & Busters but they made it for the Dream Cast. I would recommend this game if you have a Dream Cast Because it is really fun if you can play it with your best friend for hours! you might be able to find it at a game store if they still have 1998 games there.
I love the House of the Dead series. Those games are my favorite Rail-shooters.

Cortex Command:

A side-scrolling, tactical shooter in which you control various robotic bodies to protect your brain and kill the enemy brain, who also has an army of robots under its command. The terrain is completely deformable, throughout the map there are gold deposits which you can dig down to in order to collect and buy more bodies, weapons, or other tools. Also your base is completely customizable and can be built in any way you want. But, diggers can breach your base's walls if you're not careful in its construction and defenses.

Amazing game which is still in beta. The controls can still use a bit of work, but the base game is coming along nicely. Also, there is already a decent sized modding community forming around this game. This game is one to watch.

Legend of Legaia (PS1) ( unless your a rpg fan most people have no idea what that is )
Parasite Eve 1 (PS1) (iv'E rarely hear people talk about that game )
Wow, you just gave me some major nostalgia. I loved Legend of Legaia. But, it has been ages since I played it though. I'll have to go through my old games and find it now. I hope I still have it at least.

Dynasty Tactics 2

*Great turn-based gameplay that's easy to understand, even for beginners.
*Good strategy and tactics to pull off higher combos
*4, long campaigns with branching stories that lead to completely different endings and scenarios.
*Great multiplayer that is really fun to play with friends (matches can go for more than 2 hours)
*It's set in the Three Kingdoms era (Dynasty Warriors).

Mother-Fucking terranigma. Made by quintet, the makers of the marginally better known illusion of gaia and actraiser, It makes it into my top 3 RPG's on the SNES, and that is no small feat. Unfortionately, it was never released in america or canada, so if you live in either of those countries like me, you will have to play it on an emulator.

I like it. Alot. For real. 0.0

I remember another game:
- Hogs of War, turn based strategy, funniest stereotypical parody, for the PS1.

Yea, most people do once they play them. I found 2017 in a bargain bin on a boredom trip to the game store and I've been a huge fan ever since.

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, a Western RPG for the PC. Barely anyone knows about this game, but it's amazing - great storyline, immersive atmosphere, fantastic voice acting and soundtrack. The reason for it's limited success is the game-crashing glitches throughout. There's some fan-mods that make it playable now.

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, a psych-horror action adventure for the GameCube. A truly brilliant game with barely enough credit. Fantastic plot and characters, and one of the earlier games to use sanity effects.

X3: terran conflict for the PC, latest installment in literally the last good space sim series. I don't know how many hours I've lost to it but it must be over 200.
