It was 14 back when I reached it but was changed a few years later. Now it is 15. (Iceland for those of you who care) And here as everywhere there is the stupid inconsistency between the attitude towards sex and pornography. It is still technically illegal to distribute or make available pornographic material regardless of age. But that law is de facto invalid as there is (or at least has been) an active distribution of at least one erotic "man's magazine". But the availability of cyber-porn has effectively dried up the demand for such things. The really fucked up thing (in my not-so-humble opinion) is the resent ban on erotic dancing that our left wing government (that I still agree with on most things) has pushed through.

Why do fiscally responsible left-wingers always have to be such prudes and fascists when it comes to sex?!?

In Denmark you can have sex anytime you want. But it's illegal to have sex with someone under 15 if you are 15 or over. To legally have sex with someone in the ages from 15 and up to 18, you must not be more than 8 years older.
So if you are 23 you can legally have sex with a 15 yearold.
And if you're under 15 you can have sex with a 2 yearold

Nope. Doesn't work that way in Canada. Prior to the last change in the law a 14 year old could legally have sex with a 99 year old. Now a 16 year old can have sex with a 99 year old. The 5 year thing only kicks in for those 14-15. Personally I think the spread should be 2 years, right through to 18. 14 & 19 just isn't fair to the 14 year old, even if they don't know it.

That's deranged. The age of consent should be if your 18 or older you don't sex anyone under 18. Mostly because I can see adults taking advantage of angry girls in high school way to often.

The anal thing is old... and pretty much an anti-gay law. I believe the 18 for anal was put in place the same time the 14 for everything else was put in place - in the 70s. Gay people were starting to come out, people tried to "protect" kids from them.

When the Conservatives raised the age from 14 to 16, they weren't about to LOWER the age for any kind of sex at the same time, just wouldn't look right, so they left it at 18.

Now what is funny is if a 14 year old girl takes a vid of herself legally having sex with her 14 year old bf, she can be charged with making kiddyporn

Ugh.. its a stupid law anyways only enforceable if your raped. I mean how are you going to prove they did anal? If both boys were in on it they can always lie. Unless they intend to inspect a 15 year old kids anus against his will, which is horrifying to imagine.
