Barring some pretty lucky circumstances where you still enjoy life past the age of 50, I'd want to die before then. By diving from a skyscraper into a giant spoon. A weight will then be dropped into the handle, catapulting me across the city into a giant vat of vinalla ice cream whilst wearing nothing but a cape. I will die there and it will be my tomb, forever.

As long you still are yourself and are able to function, there is no bad age to die.

The best way, however, is different.

Personally, I think the in your sleep thing is best, followed by simply running out of energy and dieing in a peaceful after 1) seeing your life's goal complete (by seeing over the birth of dragons), ir 2) saving the thing closest to your heart.

Of course, that's almost exclusively in movies, though....
