So ive been lookin to get into a F2P MMO until Star Wars comes out and was wondering what are people's favorites? I have heard that Turbine makes really good games so which game of theirs should I try out? Any suggestions?

I'm not sure what you mean by F2P, but if it stands for Free-to-Play as I think it does, I've had good experiences with Mabinogi. If you don't mind the character design and atmosphere that draws heavily from anime, you'll find that it's a pretty engaging game. The combat's a lot more active than most MMOs I've played. It sort of plays out like a complex game of paper-scissors-rock, where reading the battlefield and anticipating your enemy's moves will reward you with combos and boosted damage, whereas just mindlessly slamming away will probably get you killed.

It's a Nexon game, so expect to be tempted by "Premium" goodies. The game's entirely free to play, and surprisingly, isn't really gimped in a way to force you to upgrade like most Nexon games are. The Premiums you can buy are just that - Premiums. A lot of them are really convenient (extra bank space, cost-free revivals for a month, portable campsite for your party, mounts), but they aren't at all necessary to enjoy the game to its fullest.

Very active, very group oriented, lots of fun and there are lots of ways for free to play players to earn premium content.

Mabinogi is a great free to play game and beats some Paid MMOs that i have tried on one week trials.
PROS:
-the community is a lot more respectfull than other MMO's (for the most part, a few of the newer players that i have tried to help out have been a bit bossy).
-Combat is fresh compared to other MMO's (as mentioned before).
-Anime art style (hey its a pro for me).
-As said above the paid stuff isnt game breaking and you can definitely play without it.
-If you start with a human character you can get a free elf or giant character with a bit of traveling
-Great events for holidays

CONS:
-Bit of a lag problem when the servers are full (not that often, usualy only during events).
-Updates usualy take a LOT longer than planed.

I can get you a 21day trial tho...

This.

and since a lot of people don't know much about DDO ill give a short review:

Im loving the fact i could just subscribe for a few months then buy all the end game and not have to worry about it anymore, now i can play on my own time

The Good
This game is truly one of a kind, its based on D&D, the game that invented the RPG genre so its quite complex and evolved which adds a lot of depth to it, it plays like an action game and every single quest is unique with its own instance exclusive to the party.

It has a very deep class customization system that allows the mixing of 3 different classes to make totally unique player builds. Its only got 20 levels but it has an rank system that adds class benefits in between and its almost the same as if it had 80 levels or more.

Its a party based PvE game that doesn't have wide open spaces so there's no need for traveling, which makes it much easier to just go in, play a quest for 30mins, or a raid in 1h30ms and log out, so its perfect for people with tight schedules.

It has great graphics, especially with directx10, but it can run on practically anything in the minimum settings, i was quite surprised to find out that even my aspire netbook can run it.

And its Free.
Mostly, anyway. The DDO store is full of convenience purchases that don't have any truly game breaking effect and its all about selling things that can be acquired in game. There is a bonus points system that makes it possible to purchase the content with Turbine points earned solely through completing quests. Its easy to buy an adventure pack that has end game loot and 3 Raids called "The Vale", but after that it gets harder to unlock content for free, which is kinda fair.

The Bad.
Most of the bad things are actually design choices which are a part of the games appeal, so it depends on the point of view. if you want to try something different you'll probably come to like these.

Its PvP is very limited, the focus of the game is truly PvE.

Its not easy to master the rules and the quests, so player skill counts more than anything, which can be hard on newer players.

Multiclassing is dangerous, you can make a bad build easily if you dont understand the system but the opposite is also true.

It doesn't have an open world, which means no mounts and every combat area is party exclusive so there is no spawn camping either. The good thing is you can get anywhere in less than 3mins and start questing.

experience is quest based, you don't normally get xp or treasure by killing monsters, and even when that happens, its based on objectives which means the party can help you fulfill it.

Maplestory and Flyff are kinda good.
I think you can play Anarchy Online using a free account but I haven't played in ages.

I could also recommend finding a WoW private server. I liked Eternion WoW....

I guite enjoyed Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine, though it's very complex to begin with and isn't everyone's cup of tea. If you like the JRPG series, definately check it out. It's my favourite free to play mmo so far.

Well, I have three installed on my computer but the one I've enjoyed the most is Mabinogi.
I like the fact that you aren't stuck playing as one class.

Free to Play is a bit of a misnomer. Basically there are only a few truly Free to Play MMOs, most notably Guild Wars. In the modern parlance, a free to play MMO is an MMO that relies on microtransactions - paying small bits of cash for content but not having to pay a subscription fee. The best in that group is probably DDO, as it was originally a subscription based MMO which changed to a Microtransaction MMO. You pay for breaking certain level caps, and you also pay for seperate dungeons, like an a la carte menu.. buy the dungeons you want, skip the ones you don't.

You no longer have to pay to level. It is free all the way to cap.

Go for Guild Wars- you can get it cheap now and once you've bought it, it's yours forever. And it's GREAT, unquestionably the best fantasy MMO I've ever played.

At the moment I'm trying out Perfect World International, largely because I've become completely disillusioned with Aion. It's not bad, but I'm still working my way out of my starter area so I'm not in the best position to judge the game as a whole yet. I'd say it has the potential to be awesome.

Even when there were levelling sigils, all you had to do was run a few quests until you got a Sigil as an end reward. So paying to level was optional and a convenience purchase.

If you buy the adventure packs you get access to the content for the duration of the service so in a way its pretty much the same as Guild Wars, you pay for it once and you dont have to pay a subscription. With the difference that if you are not in a hurry, you can just play the Free content long enough until you get enough bonus points to buy the paid content without spending a dime.

My LotRO is free :) ... admittedly I bought it as a life member ;) but that is not what you are asking ... I know ;)

I have also tried EverQuest 2 which is really cool but it is only free as a trial on a limited basis, but you could remake your account over and over if you wanted to.

However my overall vote is DDO it can be totally free for as long as you want and with top quality content and regular updates.... I am a VIP and my greatest wish would be that they would give me the opportunity to be a life member, I would become one in a heartbeat.

Our guild sponsors a lot of new players (use our Turbine Points) to let newcomers sample the quests and from that so many have deleted their WOW & Guild War accounts and signed up as Premium Subs.

Very few come and leave dis-satisfied. Of course there are a few, is only natural.
