What's the best Free Game

Well.. its seems that free games are like the way for new artist to have a introducing card for the industry or just to give em to the ppl.

I've been playing Eccho Basar (yup extra credits idea) and even if it wasnt OMGWFTAwesome, it was pretty entertaining and very original.

but what ppl are normaly looking for in a free game i think is something absolutely cool, witch without the money to create it its.. hard to make. Tho a friend gave me this video from Black Prophecy, it makes me remember Star fox xD

Box Head: The Zombie Wars.

The ability to purchase and equip a minigun, AK 47, RPG, sentry bots, and trip mines to fight waves of evil undead horde?? This game provided me with plenty "OH CRaP NO Ammo!!" moments.
In terms of originality, it wasn't until I heard of the PSN title "Zombie Apocalypse" that there were others that played similar. Fluid sharp visuals.

For me currently, warzone 2100. Old RTS that is now freeware. Good community for it. The only issue is that games take forever. My longest skirmish was 2 hours, shortest about 45 minutes. Artillery heavy, so if that's not your thing, steer clear. Tank spam has never worked for me.

I really enjoy Dwarf Fortress it can be tricky to get into but there is an awesome online tutorial that is a great help
