ESCAPIST HELLO, happy new year to you all! Hope you all had a good time:].

Right, pretty self explanatory: What is the very best gift/gifts you've received from somebody?

Can be anything from Christmas, Birthdays, anything.

For me, I'm tied between two:
The first being a notepad form my ex girlfriend. She filled it with drawings and ramblings, and must've taken ages to fill up. I got it for my birthday, and it's something I'll always hold very dear.

The second was a total shock- my friends all chipped in to get me a ticket for Reading Festival this year. Made me all emotional that they'd do that for me, bless:'].

SO YEAH, what about you guys?!

My car from my parents. It's soon to be passed onto my cousin as I'm leaving the country, but it's been a very good little runner for a first car, got me all around the country.

I was moaning this year that I had no money to buy Bioshock 2, and the missus went out and bought it, let it 'fall' out of her handbag in the front room and said 'OH! How did that get there!'

Awesome.

When I was 13, my parents got me a swiss army knife for my birthday. I'd been asking for one for years, they got my name and birthday engraved in the side, and was pretty expensive considering my family's fiscal situation at the time. I'm a sentimental person, and this is a pretty sentimental knife.

Original NES with the gun and powerpad. Greatest gift ever. I still owe Santa much thanks for this (I was 5 or 6).

Recently? Probably a Kitchen Aid. I got one from a crazy ex girlfriend who took it back later on the day that I received it. We weren't even going out at the time. I always wanted a kitchen aid so my coworkers (she had it delivered to my work) all pitched in and got me one. I love my Kitchen Aid.

This Christmas? This:

The best for me would have to be the two pictures One of Robert Plant holding a dove autographed by Robert Plant and the other the ramble on sheet music signed by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, I cherish these dearly.

In terms of something expensive and/or big, I guess just my nice glass-finished computer desk. I have bought many of my more expensive or exquisite possessions on my own.

As far as sentimentality goes...well, the one I do have I want to forget now. So that title is still up for grabs.
