What's the best "Let's Play" series or player you know?

I really liked the Tipping Forties [http://www.tippingforties.com/Default.aspx] LPs of Final Fantasy X and Metal Gear Solid 4. I'm also enjoying their Tales of Symphonia so far. Not only is it hilarious, but it's also allowed me to realize that Tales of Symphonia wasn't as bad as I remember it being, so I no longer have such a huge hatred for the game as I used to. For the most part its stupidity is just laughable rather than frustrating.

I don't mean to flame at all but having watched Deceased Crab for a while, as entertaining and witty as he is, I find him a bit conceited.

I still recomend his videos. Just avoid the comments sections, he can be unnecessarily rude.

Cambocombo [http://www.youtube.com/user/Cambocombo] is great, I already talked about him in another topic i could not find.

And I just found out about Mangaminx [http://www.youtube.com/user/Mangaminx], who seems to specialize in horror games. Pretty damn funny.

SSoHPKC does some good let's plays. He has really clear voice and doesn't try hard to be funny, but still can be anyway.

Gixg17 also has a let's play for Morrowind that is really funny. Mostly because he has no idea what he's doing and it's funny to watch him suffer(which he even jokes about). Also he has a funny accent.

And these are great works of entertainment? If you like it, sure watch all you want but fuck me sideways I don't get it.

Other then that the something awful LP sub-forum http://forums.somethingawful.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=191
has some pretty good ones. Slowbeef invented Let's playing in the first place. Chip Cheezum and General Ironicus are always good for a laugh, Supergreatfriend for those really well done intelligent Let's Plays. Fenn (think thats how you spell his name) for when you want an LP machine, TheDarkId for helariose screenshot LPs and there are loads more, thats the nice thing about it there are a lot of difrent styles what you watch is up to you.

Then there are the ThatGuyWithTheGlasses LPs they can be pretty entertaining, but I'd suggest Linkara and Spoony. They tend to be the most entertaining.


Oh, and above all else just try and stay away from the bad LPs, camcorder LPs, poor commentary, low quality, all that stuff. Look at Retsupray on youtube to get an idea of what I mean.

skorch82 - I believe he was the first to introduce me to the whole LPs thing.

DavetheUsher - The person who got me to like JRPGs and old classics.

pcgamer999 - Hilarious, especially when he's startled or scared.

HeadbuttArcade - Really enjoyed his Persona 4 LP, he's getting there.

chuggaaconroy - Very informative in all his LPs.

Aeterna - Very entertaining and funny most of the time.

xCloud8745x - Same as above.

Helloween4545 - Just like pcgamer999, expect way more funnier.

FrozenFoxy - His voice is just so... smexy?


My most favourite in the list is DavetheUsher though. Truly amazing guy, a lot of weird and funny stories too.
