Since this thread has risen from the grave again. HuskyStarcraft is doing a LP of Pokemon Blue at the moment, and it's equal parts awesome and cringe-inducing.
I wanted recommendations for new LPers, so I decided to perform a bit of necromancy. :3 That's legal here, right?

It's "legal" but annoying, since we've had a recent outbreak of people necroing threads just for the sake of it.

Nothing more facepalm worhty than to realize that the person your replied to made the comment 2 years ago.

A usual rule of thumb that I use is that if the topic isn't within the first 4 pages it's alright to make a new one.

Is it annoying in this situation? Might as well necro an old thread so we don't get as many repeat recommendations.

I would MackAndMesh are the best. They where the first guys to put Lets Plays on youtube, not to mention the first to do so while playing scary games and video taping a guy who gets scared easily. :)
Quite entertaining, heres the newest one.

Am I alone in mentioning Jesse Cox?
[sub]okay..[/sub]
I normally hate LP's with his sort of style. Tobuscus, pewdiepie, uberhaxornova are all painful for me to watch, but I really like jesse. I feel like he's not just faking a voice, he honestly seems like a generally goofy guy.

Not to mention his terraria LP with totalbiscuit is probably my favourite thing on youtube right now. They are absolutely hilarious together, and every episode is awesome. It's been on hiatus for a few months now though :/

Also the GameGrumps are hilarious :D
I prefer both Jon and Ego's own channels, with their reviews and animations over GG, but it's still funny nonetheless.

The only LPer I'm currently subscribed to is Ka6Scope [http://www.youtube.com/user/ka6Scope]. No particular reason really, his was the first proper LP I watched(it was his Forbidden Memories one), and since then I've grown rather attached to it.

For video LPs, I recommend the Freelance Astronauts. Especially their take on Oblivion and Mario Bros. Wii. Text LPs, I recommend Red Chocobo/Chorocojo, The Dark Id, and Epee Em.

Honourable mention to the SA Dwarf Fortress Succession games: Boatmurdered, Headshoots, Syrupleaf, Gemclod, and Bronzestabbed.
