Whats the best PC RPG?

Whats a good RPG for 3 players on the PC?

Doesn't have to be a mmorpg, just one that 3 of us can play online together.

An ideal one would be Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance, but it's not made for the PC.

Preferably not oldschool, the other two loved diablo2 but really, I don't like it =D

Depends what you mean by RPG; whether its a Stat heavy thing, Characters or whatever.

There's always some very good MUDS if you've got low processing power; but for general kickass in a small group, I'd recommend City of Heroes/Villains.

Just be prepared to spend hours on the Character Creation screen coz it's SO good.

I loved Knights of the Old Republic. The first one.
Does 'Deus Ex: Invisible War' count as an RPG?

3 players? Like on one screen? no idea. Multiplayer? I always loved Diablo II's mixture of hardcore and casual gaming. Plus no cheating on the online only characters. Plus you can have dedicated games where only you and your friends play very easily.

Cheers for all the suggestions, I think we all are going for knights of the old republic right now.

Yeah I'm not a fan of Diablo2 personally, I never played it when it was big, only recently, so with out the nostalgia - its pretty terrible imo.

City of heros/villans and wow require monthly subscriptions which I can't afford lol, and i find wow extremely boring too =D

Well, the top contenders are as usual, Planescape: Torment, and Fallout 2.

I haven't played many RPGs on the pc. I believe that is easy to see from my opinion of a good RPG. My pick is Oblivion (and Morrowind!).

Neverwinter Nights or its sequel are good candidates, especially if you are thinking Baldur's Gate style of play. There's a variety of options and some good player-made campaigns out there.

I was reading this thread backwards and wondered how many people suggest Diablo as the best PC RPG, but then i saw the OP wanted multiplayer like BG Dark Alliance, so yeah, actually the Morrowind/PS:T-guys are wrong this time.
Did you try Titan Quest? I think it´s the best Diablo-Clone out there.
