Ive got up to 110mph with a tail wind and going down a hill but you have no more power after that so its the max for my rubbish car but I generally dont go that fast I mean I know the speed limits more a guide than a rule (sure I read that somewhere) but 40mph over the limit is asking for trouble.

Fastest I've ever gone is probably just a little over 100 KPH in my 1995 Ford Mustang GT, It was the first time I got to put it into fifth gear. I hope to get an opportunity some day to see how fast it can really go because apparently it should be "pretty fast".
some are limited to 115, others are allowed to be let loose at about 130 to 140 for auto and manual respectively

bare in mind, you've likely lost a few horses since it was new too

120 mph in my old saab. woulda been comfortable goin' even faster, was plenty of rpm's under red, but my brakes were a worry. Once i was around 120 i'd start to get weird noises whenever i tried to brake so i just gave myself the rule that I would not go over that speed in that car. Since then w/later cars, fastest is probably around 100. Been forever since I had it, but that saab was probably my favorite car.

Crossing Nevada in 1992 in my 68 chevy II I did over 200 MPH, over because the speedo only went to 200 and i was still accelerating.

Not certain if trolling...only because it would take an assload of money to make a Chevy II go that fast and I don't know if you have that or not.
SNIP.
Yeah...you had at most 300 HP to the wheels (Generous) with a 3.55 rear end.
You were going 200 KPH.
The speedo I put in the car did not have KMH it had 0 to 200 MPH only. I never put it on a Dyno but the car it came out of was a 1975 camaro that did 150 in the quarter mile until it was retired. I did 200 on I80 in Nevada with a tailwind. the kind of highway that is almost a straight line in excelent condition to the horizon gives allot of time to get up to speed.

I made educated and generous guesses for tire size and engine redline at 225/50/18 and 6500, respectively. I know the gear ratio for a th350 in 3rd is 1:1 with a 3.55:1 rear end for a chevy II. So unless you changed the axles to specifically go that fast (Would need at least 2.50 gears)...150 is about the top speed of your car in gear.

The parts came out of a friggin drag race car! I did say that or did you just not read anything I said? the whole drive train, engine transmission and rear end came out of that car. all fit perfectly with no modifications except the driveshaft. You are talking as though the car was stock. It was far from stock. original engine was a 307 and tranny was a 2 speed powerglide. at stock theres no way in hell it would get to 150 much less 200, I am not stupid.

85 mph

There is a reason for this, that is the top speed of my KA. Not the official top speed, the official is 97 mph but it's a little bit old. Nearly 15 years old

The fastest I have been, I'm not entirely sure of. I was driving a company car, 2003 Honda Civic. I was going on north I205 here in Oregon and was on the on-ramp for I84 west into Portland, I'd gotten over into the left lane to pass the slow people and I floored it. I noticed that the cars in front of me were coming up really fast(insanely fast is more accurate), so I took my foot off the gas and started to brake, only then did I look at the speedo and I was slowing down from 135 mph. My best guess is 150 mph or so.

I did manage to get my 1982 volvo 240 to around 95 mph, it's speedo only went to 85, so again another guess.
