Yup. Yup yup. The most I've bought was a soundtrack.

You see children, I don't like every song from every band. Why sweep it all and get something you may not like when......when you can pick 'em out individually?

If you literally mean record album, then it was Beach Boys: Endless Summer (which I also own on casette & CD).

Hmm, I wasn't really a music fan until digital music, I think I has a so fresh CD or two as a kid, but one of my earliest memories is playing a Phil Collins casette on a Walkman repeating "in the air tonight". Still love that song.

I have yet to actually buy an album. All of mine have been received as gifts. The first one I got was a Backstreet Boys one when I was about 6. It's never been played.

Europop-Eiffel 65...if you forget who that is that's the band that did Blue(Da Ba De)...It's actually a very good album, they just got judged for that song.

First album I got that I still love is Achtung Baby-U2.

Probably Mechwarrior 2. Yeah, it was a game, but you could pop the game disc into a CD player and play it as a soundtrack. So... sort of an album, I guess?

I suppose the first proper album I ever bought was... I think it was a Dave Matthews Band album. Probably Crash, since my sister's copy was too 'effed up to rip MP3s from.

Anyway, it was Queen's Greatest Hits I and II, which I still love. I may be a metalhead, but everyone [sub][sub]except Furburt because he has no sense of fun[/sub][/sub] loves Queen.

The first metal album I bought was Death Magnetic by Metallica. Fuck the haters, it's an awesome album. Everyone loved it when it came out, but then they remembered it's "cool" to hate Metallica. Go fornicate yourselves with a wrench, posers. D<

Nope I never stopped hating Metallica for sueing their fans and cutting their hair. I only listen to Pre-black album and death magnetic since it was alot more like that stuff

Them Crooked Vultures by Them Crooked Vultures. Great album I just hope they make at least one more
They're already making their second. Should be out at the end of this year or early next year apparently. It was either Josh or JPJ that said that, I think.

And my first album was Gorillaz debut album, which I still love. It's way better than Plastic Beach.
May your God(s) of choice bless you for this wonderful news my good sir.

God, i can't remember how old i was, but the first album i bought was vengaboys... not the best start to a great album collection, loads of mindless poppy dance tunes sang by men dressed up like women. then my second album was queens of the stone ages first album, my taste in music started getting a lot better from then on.

IIRC it was Foreigner's Greatest Hits. I listened to it so much that I burned out and never bought another Foreigner CD.

I don't remember... i'm not even sure if I have ever personally bought a music album. Yeah, I know that's kinda odd, but I honestly can't remember.

Honestly, I think the first album I bought with my own money was Foo Fighters: Greatest Hits. I'd had CDs before then, but I'm pretty sure they were all gifts.

All in all, I'd say it was a pretty damn good first album; even if their singles aren't my absolute favorite songs of theirs, they certainly do have some great ones, and a lot of them to boot!
