On another note, is this discovery of the hack to SOE going to delay the basic functions of PSN coming back? I'd not be surprised if the Store relaunch gets put back even further.
It looks like the two (PSN/Qirocity vs SOE) are separate systems, so hopefully SOE being also hacked will not mess up the restoration of PSN further.
I think that the Store will remain down at least a week or two longer though, from what little Sony is communicating. Their first goal will be to get everyone back on PSN with a reset password and a new PS3 and PSP firmware. The store will probably not go back online until they're sure the thieves have all been flushed out completely.
This is really complex with all the attacks that have happened, you have at least these:
1) PSN Store cracked by custom firmware that uses debugging access to crack the PSN, used to steal full games and DLC
2) PSN and Qirocity (or however the f- you spell it) customer data and credit card data stolen
3) SOE customer data, credit card data, and bank account data stolen
Add to that the other problems with custom firmwares that allow massive cheating in games, and you see why it is taking Sony so long to get everything back up and running... wish they'd communicate with us, their customers, more though.
