If he's really mute, probably not a lot, on the whole. He's not going to have a particularly good grasp of the actual mechanics of enunciating, after all.

"No."

and then everyone would look at them (if its say..a series, or near the end of the game maybe) and stare, completely stunned.

..and then they would say

"...what?" and look around with surprise.
