i had a twenty quid note burning a hole in my pocket, i wanted oblivion again (lost the other one)

they didnt have it, so i couldn't wait a couple of weeks till they got it in stock so i bought something else. I got "the sims 2" i kicked myself for a week, i played it for a day, and got ridiculously bored.

that ever happened to anyone else?

I bought Mass Effect for the PC, even though I didn't like it on the 360. Somehow, I thought it would make more sense with a mouse and keys. But it seemed that combat was still an exercise in counter-intuitive tedium; plus I guess I've gone some way to justifying EA's much-maligned DRM stance. Double fail.

"Shaman King: Legacy of the Spirits: Soaring Hawk Version".
It was short, disappointing, and the developers seemed to think that extremely difficult puzzles = engrossing story chunks that fill out an entire game.

Escapist Searc...never mind.

Airport Tycoon. In the days before I discovered the wonderful concept of "online reviews", I made buying decisions based mostly on interest in a game's subject matter (since I did then and do now have different gaming tastes from my friends). "Hey," I thought to myself, "my dad worked in an airport for 20 years, this might be fun." Instead it was a broken, buggy, complete mess that stands as my choice for worst game of all-time.
