Seconded, on both counts. Seriously, when I picked up UT3, I certainly had no idea I would be trading it in. The singleplayer "campaign" was horrendous. As much as I tried, squinting while running around the Deck DM level only worked for so long before I was utterly sick of the whole thing. The souls of countless Nali scream out in anguish everytime you play this game.Assassinator said:Unreal Tournament 3, that was a massive letdown, not even close as adrenaline pumping as UT99. Imo they payed way too much attention to the looks, and the vehicles screw up the original UT99 feel as well.
Spore, one of my biggest letdowns ever. I never thought the editors would be that...uninspiring. The gameplay itself was simply shallow and way too easy, bleeh.
As for Spore. Well, not only did I regret buying it due to it being a complete and utter piece of unadulterated toss, I also regretted going overboard due to the hype and buying the special edition. Also, I had just moved into my own place at the time and had purchased, among other things, a nice wood (oak? pine? I have no idea, but that's going off on a tangent) coffee table. By the time I had reached the space stage, my patience had worn so thin that a physical outburst was the only remaining option. My poor unsuspecting coffee table still has a fist-sized dent in it to this day.
So, thank you Spore. I regret buying you because you made me angry enough for the first time in years to cause actual physical damage to something. I also regret buying you because you are a PC game, therefore I am unable to get a refund for you.
Then I could have bought another 360 controller and copy of GTA4 and gone bowling with Roman. Twice, at the same time, and still have more fun than I would playing Spore.
