What's the last game you bought for full price that didn't have cut scenes or dialogue scenes?

By full price I mean the standard retail price for non-budget games (e.g $50+) compilations and bundles are not included. I get the feeling people generally don't often treat non-cinematic games with the same value as cinematic ones so I made this topic to see if anyone has recently gotten a full game that lacked dialogue and such.

For me ESPGaluda 2 from last year is the last game of that type I've gotten btw.

EDIT: Minecraft doesn't count, to my knowledge it was never a full priced game.

I recently purchased Marvel VS Capcom 3 for full price (or almost, it was a $10 off sale). It has cutscenes and dialogue in a sense, but it's definitely not what I would call a cinematic game.

The only game I own without dialogue OR cutscenes beyond the SNES (Which belongs to my sister) is Minecraft, and I didn't even pay full price for THAT, I got on that pre-order discount thing they're doing.

Was Minecraft ever the same price as a new Call of Duty game? I'm talking about full retail price games here (which is $50 in the US.) I'm pretty sure Team Fortress and Audio surf were never full priced games either.

Does Portal 2 count because it has no cut scenes. If not then Minecraft.
Just to say this is a bit of a difficult because most retail games have dialogue and cut scenes.

Does Earth Defence Force: Insect Armagedden count?

Good question. I'm not sure how far back I'd have to go considering so many games have dialog and cut scenes. You have to go back pretty far to get to a point where lack of cut scenes or dialog was normal. I think you may be overestimating how many games lack these things.

The first thing that comes to mind is Space Empires V, though I suppose that arguably has dialog, albeit unvoiced.

I guess Syndicate. Or does it too have a cutscene at the end? I never did actually finish it...

I mean, shit... I could go back as far as DOOM, the first game I ever paid for with my own money.

Yeah, one of those two I suppose.

* Marvel vs Capcom 3
*Dragonball Budokai Tenkaichi 3
*Guitar Hero
*Super Smash Brothers Brawl
*Tatsunoko vs Capcom
*Metroid Prime

To name a few, though, they are not all resent purchases.

There's still $50 games, without cutscenes?!

Even super meat boy has cutscenes and that's a new oldskool game.
I'm all for cutting the fat, but I'd also expect to pay less if the game costs less the make.

Project Diva 2nd (2010), I think. There's also the Wipeout games on the PSP (and PS3, but those don't cost much).

Don't you just mean arcade-style games?
