I guess this is question is geared more towards PC gamers, but eh.

Last one I bought was Dead Space 2: Collector's Edition, for the little gun model and other goodies. Little did I know that the gun is actually pretty small and made of cheap plastic, haha.

I bought Deus Ex: Augmented Edition on Steam last minute right before it was released, and I wish I bought a physical copy instead, so I could get an actual copy of the artbook and all. Oh well.

I make sure i have a physical copy of practically everything i have in digital form.

Christ, i still buy music on compact disc format because i've had so many things lost due to physical faults on computer systems. And with the way DRM is on games nowadays i need the physical disc just so i don't have to get another account when my computer fails for the fifth time again.

Not a fan of digital downloads so I buy mine from a shop.

Valkyria Chronicles

I mainly buy physically unless there is some ridiculous special on steam where the game that's normally $30 is down to 5 or 10.

I'm a console gamer primarily, but I do dabble in the higher arts of PC gaming; however I always buy a physical copy of a game. It just feels more 'real'.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

I ALWAYS have physical copies. Most of the time, it is the same with music.. I don't like downloading. I would need a backup anyway. <.< But then again, I am a collector so I do love collecting them and having them actually there, and it feels more official.

While im a PC gamer, ive recently bought a 360 for XBLA and Japanese games that dont make it to the PC (plus all the shmups).

I bought Bayonetta last night and Ninja Gaiden 2 this lunch time. Next game on my list is Vanquish.

EDIT One thing ive noticed is just how expensive many console games are at retail (both new and 2nd). Same goes for XBLA. I can buy a PC game brand new for less (which play better) than many 360 games.

(Not that im saying consoles suck or anything, Ild thought ild bestt say this before the thread changes into another dumb PC vs Console thread))

Final Fantasy X and XII, and Shadow of the Colossus, all three for my birthday. So it technically wasn't ME who bought them, but it was the last set of games that I RECIEVED.

I only ever get physical copies. I don't have the memory space nor the internets for digital downloads.

Last game I bought was Alice: Madness Returns. Eventually I will get the only digital copy of a game I'll probably ever own, and that is American McGee's Alice which came free with it.

For the PC the last physical game I bought was the first Witcher, and that was just a few weeks ago. I greatly prefer having hard copies of my games, but I'm not anti-database. The Witcher however I found for $3 at a thrift store, which was awesome. Before that, the last console game I purchased was Portal 2 (but I would have purchased inFamous 2 since then if I had budgeted it. It's now been pushed to a hopeful x-mas present.) I still plan on, especially since they are fully reserved already, picking up Dark Souls and Skyrim before the year is done.

Last PC phys copy was Shogun 2, and as a bonus answer, the last console games picked up were Blazblue and Yakuza 4 a few weeks ago, having a blast with both sets
