Just watched a video. I can guarantee you that I will never say 'let me hear your war cry.'

I was recently reading one of the Vampire the Masquerade clanbooks, the Tzimisce one, to be exact. There was a part about revenant families (human families, raised by vampires like cattle for various services). There was a part called Blood and Milk, if I remember correctly and some Tzimisce scientist was writing about these families. He said that once he saw a mother-ghoul (human bound to a vampire by feeding them vampire blood) drink her master's blood and then, while feeding a newly-born baby, she cut her brest above her nipple and fed the baby both milk and blood so that the baby would instantly be bound to vampire master. That really disturbed me. Then again, this is Tzimisce we're talking about, they have a Cathedral made out of live humans, so yeah

I don't know, man. I have a pretty high tolerance for "disturbing" fiction.

Things that really disturb me are things people in real life actually think, say and believe, particularly where it's completely at odds with any kind of system of ethics or at odds with human empathy in general.[/B]

So yeah, I guess you can say the last thing that disturbed me was another example of how casual racism, sexism, homophobia and other forms of prejudice and privilege still permeate our society in 2011 and how unwilling most people are to acknowledge or address it and have a mature, rational conversation about these kinds of things.

that..is actually a VERY good way of descrbing how I feel...especially when it comes down to the Idea of the Misanthrope

AND our obession with the apocolpyse when it comes down to seeing it as a way to live out our power fantays...THAT is what I find very disturbing

I don't know why other people visit shock sites, but the three (now down to one due to the other two being gone) I visited I did because I like the fight videos. On occasion there are some 'shocking' vids mixed in the 'fights' catagory.

The last video that disturbed me was the abuse of dairy cows in Ohio. The video shows the dairy farmers beating cows with pipes, shovels, bars, a pitchfork. One meathead is talking to the camera about how he breaks their tails and if they don't make enough noise he hits them harder. The supposed owner of the farm is shown punching a calf and throwing it into it's pen, one guy pins down one and punches it like a speedbag. Seeing the calf's doe-eyed expression makes it very sad.

One guy traps a cow's head between bars and beats it until he complains that 'his heart is beating too fast' and he stops. The video is somewhere between 3-4 minutes and was compiled to show how they are treated, sort of an anti-dairy thing. Seeing ghetto trash street fighting, mobs of black/hispanic gangs jumping someone, after-school beatdowns, and sucker punch knockouts don't bother me at all, but this video does. I think it's still on the remaining website Mentalzero.
