War and Peace. That was a fucking struggle. It was a hell of a book though.
Is it any good? I was going to pick it up but someone told me it was quite boring...

OT: The longest I've read is probably The Lord of The Rings.
It's not the greatest novel every written, but it's good. It could have done without the undisguised author filibusters.

Mine is either:

Anna Korinnena (forgive the spelling) by Leo Tolstoy which clocked in just under 1000

or

David Copperfield by Charles Dickens also just short of a grand.

Both are awesome books about the human condition.

The girl with the Dragon Tatoo. It's around 840 pages or something like that. I have also tried reading the dictionnary but it got too boring after a couple pages.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms took me about 3 weeks when I was in 5th grade. It was ~3100 pages. I couldn't find a hardcover, so i got a box set split into 4 softcover books.

I can't remember the exact length, but each book in The Baroque Cycle series by Neal Stephenson were quite lengthly, as well as the Otherland series by Tad Williams.

I do actually prefer my books to be of a considerable length. There's not much I like more in a book (other than it being a good read of course) than it being of a good length.

Either the Lord of the Rings omnibus, which I read probably some time in '01-'03, or the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy omnibus, which I've been reading for as long as I can remember and which I've read so many times I've lost count (one period of time, I took it to school and started over when I'd finished it, read it 7 times in a row that way).

Longest...longest.

Well, I don't read books that much, so the longest is probably The Three Musketeers for me. It was about 900 pages.
