It took me a week or two before I realized that GTA IV pissed me off.

The bad driving, the annoying friends, the boring missions...it was like playing my life (except as a Balkan badass).

The only saving grace of the game was that Niko was the only character in the entire franchise that I felt was truly compelling and interesting.

Well, Master of Orion III lasted about six hours. Some NES games took only a matter of minutes, though, Jekyll and Hyde being the first example that springs to mind.

It took me about 15 minutes to realize I hated Halo.

And for around 15 hours I desperately tried to like Oblivion (I love RPGs usually) but around my 7th 'go to City A, wait for hours then kill Guy B' quest from the Dark Brotherhood, I finally gave up and moved on to more fun things, like pulling out my own teeth.

Oblivion. I actually played that piece of garbage for about 10 hours before I realized that it was just terrible.
If you don't mod the PC version, then it is no fun, but with mods, it is great.

Magical Starsign. I probably put about eight to ten hours into it before I realized that I could care less about the damn characters.

Also Super Monkey Ball, but I think the game hated me, instead.

GTA 4.

I played that game all the way through, begining to end... I finished it over a period of 3 days and in the end I just said "well, that was boring".

Turok on the Xbox360. I beat the campaign and tried a local multiplayer deathmatch. I finally realized the source of that rage I'd been feeling once I turned off the game and started playing something better

For me, it was Fable 2. I had a lot of fun for the first couple hours, but then the combat, plot, and gameplay got very stale. However, I really didn't realize it until I ran into Reaver and the so-called "open moral choice game" railroaded me into allying with him.

Oblivion here, too. I tried to like it, but that was when I started realizing how much I dislike RPG's with their levels, their wolves dropping potions, and their repetitive races and medieval setting. The combat, I thought, also sucked.

Same with Bioshock.

30 hours into Valkyrie Profile made me realize that I hated the main story. The game had great music, the combat was great, and I loved the sub stories for each of the einjerhar. They were fully developed and well thought out characters. I got pissed of that the main story sucked. I found the main character to be very unlikable. She annoyed me when I played her and I hated her self righteous attitude. I still beat the game because it is a matter of discipline that I beat all games I play, but I hated myself for doing so. .

One game that I could not beat was Mushroom Wars. It is basically baby's first RTS. There is little strategy other than mass your troops and go after your opponent.

Awhile for me I guess I bought sonic Unleashed purely for the daytime stages but nostalgia got in the way of judgment then I had a bad game on my hands.

For me it has to be Ring of Red. I bought it on the morning of its release, played it ALL day and a large portion of that night. And it didn't leave my PS2 for weeks. It was the only game I played for the longest time. Up until a couple of weeks ago, I would still dig it out and play it every now and then for a few days.

But I realised I hated it when I didn't bother saving midway through a mission (about two hours of play) because it looked almost retard friendly on the difficulty scale. But then shit proceeded to get serious real fast, and I got owned. Damn near snapped the disk right then and there, but instead I kept my cool and put it back in the box. Now I just keep it for something to glare menacingly at.
