ever since i was a kid i'd always drift away in my own thoughts and questions, sometimes for hours in a row (they actually sent me to a psychiatrist at one point haha)

even nowadays, whenever i drift off i can stay in my own world for hours on end .... my longest was on a trip to greece when i was 14, we stayed near this foresty area .. i remember waking up for a swim around 5am then i lay down on the floor staring at the clouds, before i knew it my cousin ran over and kicked dirt in my face .. i was lyk WTF! .. he told me i was there almost a full day .. i got my bearings and realised it was dark (around 10pm) ... mum made a huge deal out of it -_- but i don't think there's anything wrong with me .. i just enjoy being in my own world because this one sucks (and LOOOOL psychiatrist said there's a small chance that it's linked to depression and one day i might just refuse to leave "my world" .. what a tool)

anyway :p what's the longest you've ever drifted off in your thoughts?? ^^

It can last as long as I'm alone. As soon as I hear a human voice I get dragged out of my world, back into this dystopia we call earth.

23 years and counting...

Actually, probably no more than a couple of hours. I likely zoned out several times on my 16-hour drive to Oklahoma, but more frequently it happens when I'm taking a long bath or can't sleep.

i can be lost for any amount of time as long as nobody disturbs me. I can also space out randomly doing things like ordering food. I was spaced out for five minutes just staring at the cash register.

I wish I could give you a high five. Fight the power, Dude. There is nothing wrong with you, you just have an active imagination. That's a mark of creativity, not mental illness. Mind you, I've never got lost in my head for 16 hours unless there was something tragic to occupy my mind, but I've daydreamed whole shifts of work away.

As long as i'm walking, listening to music or just being alone. When i go hiking it's my default mode, i'll probably end up with a broken limb one of these days. The longest must have been when i hiked for a week and only being pulled back to reality by my dad for about 3 minutes every hour. Or does it only count if it's straight?

yeah lol .. only straight hours

and hell yeah ... if music is involved .. can't remember how many times i left the house and in the blink of an eye a walk that should've been 3+ hours is done .. and i don't even remember the trek

On a remarkably boring flight, I started constructing a survival horror game in my head. 4 hours later I snapped out of it with a vague intention to check out the variations of flintlock pistols in Napoleonic France and sketches of some of the cutscenes.

That's hilarious.

For me, it would be hours. I always get interrupted.

For hours and hours, I can't keep track of time when I zone out. But I guess the longest time I zoned out was five hours or so.
