What's the longest you've gone from buying/getting a game to playing it?

Mass Effect. Got mine on the christmas of '07. Only started playing it in the autumn of '09. That's almost 2 years.

Hmmmm, i tihnk it would be around 3 weeks, i bought it at around exam time and i didnt have enough time to play it, i tihnk it was Mass Effect too...

Well I got a bunch of games and was moving through them all at a steady pace, then my xbox died. It took an inhumanly long time to get replaced, and by the time it had, I'd just sort of forgotten about it. I eventually decided to play it after I saw how awesome ME2 is looking.

well, I downloaded Fallout 1(for the 3rd time now) which I've already beaten and haven't even installed it yet. downloaded it about 5 months ago and It's still waiting.

I Bought it, it sat on my shelf while i played 'rock band', then i traded it in for $70AU towards Halo 3 ODST.

Still havent ever played it.

3 months. My parents came to visit me and for some reason they bought me a PS3 game which I could have waited to get when I visited them, as I don't have a PS3 or even a TV where I am currently living. Just a game boy color, a PSP and the internet.

Two years? Can't beat that, but mine is also Mass Effect related. I bought a copy of the PC adaption when it first came out, and I'm still trying to get the thing to work. It simply refuses to be played, sitting in a corner pouting about how my computer just isn't quite right for it, and neither is my mothers, or my brothers...

I think I've gone max 2 years, sometimes games just get put on the backburner when I go ebay crazy.

If not then about a year and a half for Deus Ex: IW. Wouldn't run on my computer back in the day and had to beg me mother to get a new comp, had to wait till the next xmas till we did.

I just bought the THQ pack from Steam, so that's 18 games and I'm sure a lot of them are going to be on the back burner for a while.

About a month because I forgot to pre-order a Wii but I did preorder Twilight princess. After I got the game I got put on the waiting list at Game Crazy and it came in around December 1st but my parents hid it from me till Christmas

I've still got Viking: Battle of Asgard to play, I just don't wanna play it. I like having a game that I can play when I don't wanna play anything else. I doubt I'll ever play it, though. :|

Assassin's Creed II. I bought it, and restrained myself from playing Til I finished inFamous for 4 weeks.
Also, Metal Gear Solid 4. I resisted that for about 5 months (i'm a stupid man).

Couple of months, when I used to work in Gamestation I always had a backlog of games. Still do a bit now but it's no where near as bad.
