What's the longest you've gone from buying/getting a game to playing it?

My friend loaned me Baldur's Gate and I didn't get around to playing it for maybe...a month, a month and a half. I invested myself in it as if out of duty, and then eventually just lost interest again.

Gears of War 2.
I got it for Christmas and eleven o'clock at night and it was with the entire family so naturally I couldn't just go off and play it. I had to sit with everyone and watch some DVDs and just enjoy the festivities and it didn't end until about eleven o'clock at night.

Bought MGS4 in August, haven't even played it yet. But the reason is that I had beaten my friends copy twice, didn't wanna keep taking it off him and had the urge to play one night. Bought it cheap but got distracted and lost the urge to play.

I bought Vagrant Story when it came out, along with a bunch of other games. (I was a kid, and it was payday ) Unfortunately I never even got to open it before it was misplaced and I never saw it again. Rented the game later but never did find mine.

I bought Kingdom Hearts 2 back in... March and still haven't played it. So no, maybe not two years but still a good nine months or something. I remember getting a stupid learning game as a kid which I never played... does that count?

ow. i can't beat that. mine was DMC3. i got it, then set it aside to finish another game before starting it and didn't get to it for 4 months.

I own a lot of games I haven't played yet. Some are pretty old games now, but I didn't buy them all upon release so I'm not sure which I've actually owned the longest. I know I got Final Fantasy IX not long after release and I haven't played that yet so... 9 years?

Although if you want to get into technicalities - I had a Commodore 16 and some games I just couldn't get working, so I've never played them. I probably never will now, but I do still have them somewhere so I guess it's possible. So for those games it's 20 years and counting.

A good month or two. When I bought Fable 2, I put it into my xbox, and got the RROD. So I called Microsoft, and they told me they'd send me a box to send it in, and three weeks later they didn't send me a box. So eventually, I just sent it in my own box, and the box that they sent came the next day. (Yay Mircosoft!)

The longest time was 20 minutes. When I was a total Halo fanatic and got Halo 3 the night it came out I literally RAN home popped it in my 360 and played for what now seemed like days!

I bought Disgaea 2 when it first came out. It is still shrinkwrapped on my PS2 game shelf unplayed. That is probably the oldest.

For me it is probobly Final Fantasy X, and that is only because I got Kingdom Hearts right after that, and I didn't want to start playing X till I beat KH. And then when I did start playing it...I ended up quitting for a few months when I got to Yunalesca x-x

I got Fable 1 because my friend recomended that I play it. I picked up a copy and I haven't played it...

So I'm about 4 years now...

I tried once, I put it in my 360, but since I don't have internet I can't get the patch thingy to play it. (I'm bumming off of the WiFi at school right now...)

I had an Xbox, but traded it in to get the 360.

I don't know why I still have the disk...
