What's the longest you've played a game for in a day?

So I thought I'd start my own topic and have plumped for this little question:

'In a 24 hour period what's the longest you've played a single player game for?'

So pretty much how long have you spent playing a game and not resorted to going online which means any 24 hour Halo or MW multiplayer sessions don't count. And by single player you can include any extra content like Splinter Cell's Deniable Ops etc (Offline).

For me I played Mass Effect 2 for 19 hours on the day of release. I played for 15 hours, had a quick food break and then played another 4 hours before crashing out.

I've played Monster Hunter Frontier for 24 hours once, yup 100% of the day... I passed out after about 30 hours of nonstop play

Never making that mistake again, I felt like crap afterward.

ummm.... i played mass effect 1 and 2 begining to end without a break but it took longer than 24 hours....

- i hate long gaming sessions, so i usually take a break after 2/3 hours

Neverwinter Nights I, multiplayer. 22 hours straight with no breaks except the occasional toilet break. I didn't even stop to eat.

Eek, -single player-. I'll rethink my answer.

I played FIFA Manager 08 for fifteen hours straight once.

I think I have once played Diablo 2 over 13 hours but it was probably beaten by WoW when I wasnt watching.

I know I did 12 Hours with Batman: Arkham Asylum
"But Crunchy!" I hear you cry, "Batman doesn't isn't that long!"

I know, that's why I did all the Riddler puzzles AND all the challenge modes in one sitting as well.

But video games have got NOTHING, on marathon tabletop sessions. I think once in High School my friends and I played an Inquisitor / Warhammer 40K/ Battlefleet Gothic campaign for nearly 40 hours. It was a giant map campaign that used fleet combat, army combat and espionage. Since I know longer play any of those games that sounds like torture now, but at the time we felt like goddamn emperors.

I believe I played Spore for 12 hours straight, day after I got it, and didn't touch it again for 5 months or so. I may have a longer session than that in Legend of Dragoon, as I beat disk 3, with part of 2 and 4, in one session, but I can't remember how long that took, as I was only, like, 10 or so.

I dumped 14 hours into Fallout 3 on a day last weekend, actually >_>.

Anything more than that (actually including that too) just frightens me.

only time I ever took note of it was playing all the way through Crysis in one 16 hr sitting. I think there may have been other games I've played longer in 1 sitting but I never paid any attention to how long.

I believe Final Fantasy XI or Runescape may hold my longest consecutive run, both only being ended after harbouring my passing out.

FFXI I recall especially as I was still sat in the exact same position when my housemate of the time went to work and returned.

Thankfully I got over my MMO bug within six months and my gaming sessions are a lot more sensible now. Plus I no longer have school holidays to entertain such marathons.

Civilization IV gets a mention too - I "forgot" to sleep with that game and played straight through the morning and continued the day as if I had slept.

I played a Dragon Age marathon during April Vacation, three days straight playing all possible quests.

Eight hours. I was with my friend and we were having a MGS4 marathon. She wanted to play it but doesn't have a PS3.

The longest I'll usually play a game for is about 2-3 hours by myself. When I'm with my friends, then we usually play for quite a long time instead. xD

From what I can remember, Mass Effect 2, 8 hours.
Not much, you say. The difference is that I had school the next day. It's quite alot of playing for a school day.

I played alot of the ps1 and ps2 final fantasys for well over 24 hours straight. The same for GTA:VC and SA.

NWN for about 18 hours in one go the estate had a black out. I'm sure theres more.

I've played Morrowind, Oblivion, Dragon Age and Lost Odyssey each for about 6 hours straight. I haven't had any gaming session longer than that I think.
