What's the longest you've played a game for in a day?

I'm probably going to get yelled by saying this but... 17 hours of WoW. With a break every 6 hours. It was fun!

Not trying to belittle your efforts or anything, but i and some people i know have gone for weeks with as much as 6 hours of sleep a day. Luckily my days of WoW are behind me.

Mass Effect 2. i had gotten the game right when my exams started so i couldn't play it for fear i wouldn't study, and i was correct in my assumption. When my exams finished and i went on exam break i must have played about 13 hours in a day and in a 5-day period logged about 50 hours of gameplay. It was a fun time.

4 hours.

I don't play much daily, even when I do, I can't play one single game without getting bored of it after a while.

I once spent 21 hours playing Guild Wars, took a nap for a couple hours and ate a little, then played for 15 more hours before sleeping (or passing out, I forget).

24 hours--it was a weekend, and my campus gaming club was seeing who would last how long. (I lasted longest, of course)

For anyone who's curious, I was playing Dragon Age: Origins the entire time.

Back in the day when I had substantially more free time, I played Phantasy Star 3 for probably 19 hours with minimal breaks for bathroom and not much else. I'd done similar with Final Fantasy 7.

It takes its toll, particularly Phantasy Star 3, which I actually ended up having bizarre dreams where I needed to learn Spanish to raise a level. o_O

Not to mention, your bottom really goes numb after a while...

Only time I had to invest that kind of time was when I was a kid, and I hit the golden age of RPG's for the computer.

I have logged full, 24 hour sessions on
Fallout 1
BGII
Planescape Torment
and Starcraft.

Not as impressive as most that I've seen here, but I've done Dead Rising's 7 Day Survivor and Zombie Genocider achievement on two different Gamertags without taking a break. Tedious, but worth it.

I don't think I could possibly stay awake for 24 hours straight playing a single game. I think I'd lose my mind.

I'm sure I've put in a number of 12+ hour marathons on single games in the past. I also know that I have put 24+ hours into a number of games in a single sitting as well. The particular games and specific time frames are lost to me. I do know that games like Tribes, Goleneye and Team Fortress Mega were adept at stealing away the weekends of my youth.

I played Heavy Rain from beginning to end about two days ago...I think it took 8 hours...

I know I've played Soul Silver for at least 10 hours
And Monster Hunter Tri from 4 pm to 6 am...so 14 hours
But I think Fallout 3 would take the cake with a nice 20 hour run, sleep for six hours, then another 20 hours...

Did just short of 48 hours for Lich King and just over 36 hours for Burning Crusade. As for Cat, well I have plans to hit or surpass the 48 hour mark in order to hit a bunch of realm first achievements on my rogue.
