Was originally going to be Amaranth after the myth/plant/colour/Nightwish song (not in that order). but it was already taken so I put my initial in front of it and liked how it sounded.

I am Jason, and I am chaos.
HAHAHAHAHAHA.
In all seriousness, I have no idea. I was trying to think of an Xbox Live gamertag a while back, and I was sick of using "Jasonater" for everything (I thought that up when I was about twelve), I had no idea whatsoever what to call myself and I really wanted to hurry up freakin' get into Xbox Live, so I just stamped 'Kaotic' onto the end of my name because it seemed to fit in with everyone else's gamertags, and I suppose it just kind of stuck. So I changed my name on here too. I kind of regret it now. I'd change it again but you only get one name change, heh.

I'll include other ones I have used also:

firelegendmushroom: my 3 favourite franchises at the time, Fire Emblem, Legend of Zelda and Mario

theemporer: this,

and bad spelling.

ImperialSunlight: the imperial should be obvious and the "sunlight" part is a product of my obsession with dark souls, and because I like the sun in general. I changed it to this for newer accounts because I was tired of looking like an idiot who can't spell his own username. :|

'Copper Zen' was an off the cuff name I came up with for a recurring character in my fantasy stories.

I use the character sometimes as comic relief and other times as a "reality check" anchor who responds to the craziness that occurs in D&D type fantasy like a normal person might rather than as Player Characters (or fictional ones with inherent Plot Armor) do.

Remember the sleazy guy named Benny in The Mummy? Copper Zen has similar survival instincts ("No, I am NOT going to help you open up that legendary evil wizard's tomb! In fact I am OUT OF HERE!") but Copper keeps getting into trouble because he is as principled as Benny was unscrupulous.

When I joined the Escapist I needed a user name and 'Copper Zen' came to mind, so there it is. :D

Mine doesn't really mean anything. It's just something I came up with to use instead of my real name on another site years ago.

I've had this moniker since '06, and my reasons for retaining these two letters have deteriorated into a spiraling entropy of logic and reason, the void replaced solely by whimsy and novelty.

Suffice it to say, the world may never know. Nor do I honestly expect it to care.

Now, if you would kindly leave me to my machinations?

Loved Orcs vs. Humans when it came out. Troll units where my favorite. When you hire one they always say [/i]"New troll here."[/i] Took the name New Troll from that and have used it for neutral aligned characters I've played for the past 20+ years. Not one of my favorite names I've come up with, but it is the one that has stuck with me the longest.

Really sucked when then internet slang "trolling" came about, but oh well... one day I'll get eve.. errr... I mean, over it.

My first multiplayer game was Halo CE for the PC. I was a 12 year old so I picked Hunter cause I thought it sounded badass. When I first got an Xbox 360, Hunter was obviously taken so I added 85792 to the end because it made the shape of a rocketship on the numbpad.

Yep, pretty crazy story.

I've used it for pretty much every username except one where I used Tribly Trouble because hipsters are a joke and trouble makes for some awesome alteration antics.

Mine's a reference to the movie Babe, when the duck says, "Christmas means carnage!"

I originally used it for the Xbox Live gamertag, but since it only allows 15 characters, I left out the "i" in Christmas to make it fit.

But from then on whenever I would make another username or account my friends would always have to ask, "is it spelled normally or without the 'i'?" So eventually I just made it so all my accounts are without the i.
