When I was young I used the name "madman" for everything, as I grew up I thought I'd try and change it to something more elegant whilst remembering my youth. Latin always seemed a fancy language so I translated the word "mad" and got my username.

For a lot of stuff now days I use the name "ShanksJr" as my dad's handle for stuff has always been "Black shanks" over his favourite cat who jumped off of our roof and took down a pigeon when he was still a kitten.

Obviously, I am ranked 86th amongst the 100 space cow herders in the galaxy.

... but seriously it was just a random thing I came up with as a 6th grader and it's stuck with me as my go-to username ever since.

mine came from a rep catalogue that came into my old work - had Jacken as a title page to the jackets - I added the "o" because things wont accept Jacken on its own.

Roverandom is a Tolkein book and character, a cute little dog :) but Roverandom on it's own was taken on whatever website I first used it on, so ness was added like randomness...

I had a friend who ran a private server to an MMO called Conquer. In that game there were a lot of levels (135) and you could get reborn multiple times. There were many tiers of gear. In short it was basically impossible to get a perfect character since the game was all grind. I was given one as a mod though with max level, stats, gear ect.

Now in that game you can pvp anywhere. Which I would on occasion. I would also sometimes just throw out money and rare gear to people and break up fights and stuff.

I was nicknamed god for obvious reasons and for some stupid reason I kind of decided to make that my online handle. I now look back and kind of wish I had chosen something else since it makes me look like a pretentious douchbag but hey it's the internet and most people won't even notice or care.

Something random that I made up from the word Sardaukar for a multiplayer username in the game Cellfactor: Revolution.

Because you can change the email tied to your escapist account by going to "Update Account Information" on your profile page.
Personal thing. I just prefer changing my accounts on the websites I frequent when I change my email. I only change my email once every blue moon, so it shouldn't exactly happen often. I think I'm okay with my current email now anyways. So yeah, just a personal thing.

I was just a little worried that someone may have lost all their post counts and badges, simply because they didn't know they could change their profile email :)
Your concern is appreciated. I don't really bother about post counts and badges though, I'm just here to have a discussion or two and maybe learn something.

Mine is a IDF tank. I choose it cause in wow i was rolling a tank and my old user name was macca so this started with M and was a tank which fit well with the my brothers tank called Stug, another tank in real life.

Also the description on wikipedia said it was designed for crew survival and easy repairs etc. sounded good for a tank in wow. now i use the name on most sites and games. cause it also lends it self to merk as a nike name.

plus i am scared of change.

It's nonsense letters strung together from a crossword thingy that looked pretty cool. XD

Although I like to pretend it means "Age of the dragon"

Well one day I made an account somewhere with the "hobo" name and it stuck with me. And yes in every name hobo is not capitalized which is my personal touch to the name.
