What's the most amazing game mod you've ever seen?

The HL2 to RTS mod, Half Life 2 Wars. That was unbelievable. I'd never seen a games entire genre change from a mod. The only thing the mod was missing was the ability to select a dude and go First Person. That would just complete it.

the freespace scp and the freespace upgrade project was pretty impressive aswell as soome of the fan campaigns

rome total realism was really good too

Okay this one is pretty simple guys and gals of the Escapist.

So, I was looking around on Moddb.com the other day and I found a mod. This mod's name was Nehrim: At Fate's Edge.
So, after a bit of investigation, I decide to download this mod and in about an hour I am BLOWN AWAY by the mastery of it all.
Everything that these germans have done has been to the quality of Oblivion, in some cases evern better.

So that's my story, now for you. What's the most amazing, incredible or simply just dumbfoundingly good game modification you've ever played?

There's a mod for Fallout 3 made by the same people that made Nehrim (Sure AI)
It's called Cube and is loosely based on the film of the same name.
