Half-Life 2. It was confusing and rather boring but it was fun when the enemies fell down.

I would have to say Prey. It's not a bad game, but it's not good either. The biggest flaw in my opinion was the lack of different types of enemies.

Trine. It was entertaining enough to play, but...it didn't leave too much of a lasting impression.

Darksiders. It stole from like 10 games and combined them into something incredibly mediocre. I didn't love it or hate it.
every moment i wasn't slashing open enemies it felt like a job.
i was rushing through it to find new enemies to DEVOUR.

Confusing in what way?

OT: The Quantum of Solace game probably. Just... meh.

Well the plot was confusing a bit since I didn't play the first game.
Some of the level design was confusing like near the end where I was in a wrecked building and the only way to advance was to kill 2 big spider/robot things despite the fact that 5 minutes before I was in a bit where there were a bunch of infinitely respawning spider/robot things. It made me think they were optional.

Blue Dragon. Can't call it exactly bad, but there is no way in hell will i imply that its good. Oh, and its too damn easy to be classified as a video game.

Fallout 3, expected a gritty post-apocalypstic, fun playground, got a muddy, boring walk through a barren landscape.

Probably NHL 09. It was a fun sports game, but I grew tired of it real fast. In fact that game made me realize I'm not as into sports games as I thought I was.

See there's a problem trying to pick out an average game. If it stands out in my memory, it must have been good or or bad in some way.

I've played a lot of games I barely remember 5 minutes after stopping, so I'd have to say that the most average is the least memorable of those. Hence if I still know the title, it wouldn't be average.

It'll be some sort of brown FPS most likely, or perhaps a cover-based brown 3rd person over-the-shoulder-view game.

Fear 2, Bioshock 2, Gears 2.....three franchises that really had potential to expand into something more, but didn't, and fell for mediocrity of rehashing the same game yet missing out what made the first game great....-_-

They're not bad games, but we expected way more from them.
