I have had kangaroo and crocodile.

Kangaroo tastes like steak, but more rubbery, and crocodile tastes like greasy chicken.
Basically this, but add emu. Emu's very bitter with quite a sharp flavour. Or, at least the one I had was.

Ah, Australia - the only country to eat its national emblem.

Your last comment about vegans was quite unnecessary.

Probably the weirdest thing i've eaten is Lamprey:

I have had escargot before, it was okay but I only really tasted the garlic, personally I prefer oysters (especially oysters kilpatrick)

I had kangaroo sausages, I can't really remember what that was like.

Lamb's brains, it was crumbed and had a slight meaty taste but a strange gooey texture.

Duck's feets, tasted quite good but there's very little flesh

I'm sure there's some weirder things that I have forgotten, I should really try emu and crocodiles though, so I can maintain my status as being on the top of the Australian food chain.

What about if I'm a vegetarian?

Before I cut the meat out my diet, I enjoyed kangaroo quite frequently. That's pretty exotic for most people. Not that strange for Australians.

Three things come to mind, Crock (Crocodile) meat, Kangaroo and a Ox's tongue. Ox Tongue is actually surprisingly good.

Alligator.

There used to be a restaurant in my hometown that served gator nuggets and frogs' legs and other stuff scraped out of the bayou. XD I wish it were still there. It closed down about ten years ago and has since been turned into a Japanese restaurant (although a very very very good one).

(From what I remember, the gator wasn't too bad. A bit chewy, but tasty.)

Cougar...

...Best meat I have ever had.
I ate a cougar once...but she had to buy me dinner first. Tasted like old mutton.

On-topic, wild duck (I didn't shoot it myself---I'm such a lousy shot that I couldn't hit a moose from point-blank range with an anti-tank rifle.)

Or buffalo---although anything you can get for relatively cheap at Trader Joe's hardly qualifies as "exotic", does it?

The most exotic thing I have ever "eaten" was the still beating heart of a cobra.
I did this ritualistic masculinity thing whilst I was overseas where they bring the snake out live, take a scalpel and slice it open. Then they scoop out its heart and you swallow it. It was the most bizarre feeling, you can feel it beating as it goes down.

Shark or crocodile. I didn't actually realise what I was eating until I was told. Didn't taste too remarkable.
