I was eleven and standing in line for lunch. Everyone was pushing everyone else and the teacher that was ?keeping us in line? had been ignoring us completely. I must have caught his eye or something because though I was one out of about 90 students lined up he pulled me out of line told me not to push and shoved me hard in the chest.

I got a talking to from the head teacher for telling the teacher in question to ?learn some fucking manners? but since my wrist and chest both had bruises for the ordeal and I didn?t see the teacher again for about six months I think he got in more trouble than me.

Ahh........ small, egocentric Christian schools....
Apparently you cant be a christian without being conservative.
Homosexuality is a completely unforgivable sin.
And any argument made on any theological topic is ultimately wrong if a teachers disagrees.
Oh and teachers have the right to decide who is "hell-bound"

Look, Im a Christian, and im gonna keep my opinions to myself. But I will say that I can argue any of these from a biblical perspective and prove them wrong, and leave it at.

I want to apologize (on behalf of all the level headed Christians) to any one else who has had the unfortunate luck to run into one of these kinds of institutions. We try to leave them to their own devices and twisted forms of theology.....

In PDHPE(Phys Ed) whatever. In theory lessons we were learning about not taking risks. In the practical lesson we were doing gymnastics and the teacher goes: "Come on, take a risk".

I can't remember any personal examples, but some of the teachers I've heard about (those who teach in 11th grade, which I'll be entering after summer holidays) have me very worried.

For example, I've heard that one of the English teachers is one of those staunchly conservative types... She rejected a friend's (well-researched and well-written) definition essay on socialism because it was "wrong," saying he could still turn it in, but it certainly wouldn't get a very good grade. Meanwhile, a very conservative person I know was allowed to stay after school to finish timed writings (which everyone else only got about 50 minutes on). I've a feeling we wouldn't get along well.

Another example, not really of ignorance but of some teachers' faulty belief that they are infallible, would be one of next year's US History teachers. A friend's experience with him went something like this:
Friend: -pointing out questions on a test- You've graded some of these incorrectly; these are marked wrong on my test but others who put the same answer lost no points.
Teacher: Seriously? Seriously? You're saying I graded it wrong? Seriously?
Friend: Um...sir, these answers are correct. I deserve to have these points back.
Teacher: Are you seriously trying to argue with me? Do you want me to take off more points?
Friend: But--
Teacher: You can leave the test with me, sure, but I'll be taking of 10 points more or so. Seriously.

He also took off a lot of points on someone's project, which was to make a Facebook page for some famous person in history (yes, the assignments he give are all that pointless, and this is an AP fucking teacher), because it "wasn't colourful enough. It's mostly just blue and white." A Facebook page. Yeah.

Watch me have both these teachers next year.

My teacher INSISTED that Greece wasn't a part of Europe. I even pointed at the FUCKING MAP we had in the class, and she still wouldn't concede.
Try and ask her if Denmark is a country.. If she says that its a city, hit her form me... XD

Sorry...

But thats just stupid... :p
It is stupid, but the Denmark thing jut doesn't make sense. Even she wouldn't make THAT big of a mistake.

1. 3 years ago i had a geography teacher who tried to learn us about "zee weer" (translated to english: the weather above the sea), but she had a really weird accent and everyone thought it was weird we were being taught about "zeewier" ("Seaweed").
You teach someone, not learn them.
I blame the school for not teaching me to speak or write correct english

My flatmates mother died when we were at school. He's not the brightest of the class, but he doesn't have any form of mental problems. After the funeral, we were dropped off (Well..not him, obviously) back at school, and headed to English.
Teacher: "How was Michael?"
Me: "He's handling it surprisingly well."
Teacher: "He probably doesn't understand the magnitude of what's happened yet."
Class: "......*Silence*
Me: "YOU FUCKING ****!"

Got sent to the principals office, but was totally worth seeing the ***** get fired over it when the entire class backed me up on what had happened.
I'm sorry but, what the fuck?
Besides being phrased clumsily what the hell was said there that is worth your reaction and losing her job?

When someone dies it often takes a while to get over the shock of what has happened and actually realise that that person is gone. Hence the phrase "it may take a while to sink in" is commonly used to describe someone's emotions after a death.
No, no, he has a point. Basically, this teacher called the kid too retarded to realise his own mother was dead.
No, the word retarded was never used, nor was the kid's intelligence ever questioned in any way. The teacher correctly identified the fact that "Michael" had not yet gotten over the initial shock of losing a loved one.

Maybe if the teacher had claimed "he doesn't understand.(period, full stop)" then you'd have a point. The word yet however implies that the knowledge will eventually come. The teacher may have phrased it awkwardly, but that doesn't warrant that reaction. If the teacher was in fact fired then it only proves that either the principal was an idiot, or both the poster and his class lied/exaggerated/bent the truth.
im thinking the last one, cause the teacher was def not in the wrong
agreed, like when my Great grandad died it took a bout 3 days to sink in
