I would have to say gears of War. I think you should put more in your posts. Maybe tell us your most violent game played?

are we talking realistic blood and gore, or cartoony violence (no more heroes).

i would put god of war up there for the quicktime killage. i remember the awesomeness that was killing the hydra.

id give a mention to metal gear for the realistic voilence. i cant count how many throats i've slit just for fun. oh, and dont forget grey fox's massacre in the first game (or twin snakes).

Either GTA of GeOW. Though I'd probably saw Gears was better, simply 'cos I'm a sucker for chainsaw bayonets. That or GOW. Even with the graphics it's quite bloody. Good games though.

Edit: Didn't we already have a thread 'bout this?

In the Guiness book of world records in the 80's I remember seeing that the most violent movie was called "red dawn." It was determined that "violence per minute" was the way to judge how violent a movie was rather than how gory the violence was.

If I apply that here, I am going to have to say that Mario is a hell of a violent game when compared to something like Gears of war and GTA where you can go for minutes without killing anything. You can't go 5 feet in the Mario series without killing a Koopa or his minions.

Something to think about at least.

Mario: Heroic plumber or sinister mass murderer?

WOLVERINES!!! Aw, Red Dawn, that was actually a really good movie and i liked the game that was loosely based on it...*quick google search* Freedom Fighters.

Anyway i'd have to say Manhunt, or manhunt 2 for psp where you could download the patch to get rid of the "blur" effect.

Actual violence? Either Gears of War or Manhunt

Disturbing violence? Rule of Rose. There's something I always find mildly akward about children killing and beating things...

I don't understand all the Gears of War votes. Oh, actually, I just remembered about the chainsaw deaths. Yeah, I see where you're coming from now
