I got maybe $9 from Gamestop for a Gamecube peripheral that lets you play GBA games on your TV, and that's about the best I've done. Has anyone ever gotten a worthwhile amount of money from trading in games?

I recently got about £70 for trading in Fable 3, MW2, a wireless controller and DJ hero with turntable. I also got about £30 when I traded in Mafia 2 a few weeks after release.

I got $20 for GH2 a week after release. A huge rip off, am I right?

I frequently get £25 or £30 for the latest releases. GAME is almost never lower than 25 inside of the first 3/4 weeks for most titles.

Add my staff discount to that and I'm only paying £5 for having the latest game till it's done! :D

I worked in Gamestation for a year between College and University. I accidentally printed off a £1,000,000 Credit Note for a guy once when he was trading in his console. The touch screen was out of alignment and I was a nooby, ended up hitting the 00 instead of the 7 once, and the 0 twice. Or something like that. I can be a bit of a clutz with touch screen tills.

Needless to say we didn't give him the note, and wrote it off instead.

I rarely trade in games.

I think I got about $7 for a stack of, what, 10 old PS2 games? Including a copy of Sonic Mega Collection + for PS2... Why the hell did I trade that in again? I miss it. <_<

$2.00 for UFC 2009.
Not to bad seeing as I got the game for $5.00 from a friend.

I think the most I've ever gotten was 40$ or so. Most games I still only get 5-10$ for though. I vowed to never sell another game to gamestop because of that.

I don't trade in games, simply because you get a better price by selling them on ebay. Last week I asked for the trade in value of black ops (ps3) at GAME, and they said 22GBP.
