My name is Melas Zepheos, and I got Harry Potter 7 on launch night.

I do lots of nerdy things though. In Year 12 we were asked to pick a Romantic writer (mainly just the Lyrical Ballads) and write a poem in their chosen style. Everyone else went for the short sonnet-esque pieces, I chose Rime of the Ancynt Mariner and in 5 weeks wrote a 5000 word epic poem depicting a battle between good and evil.

Literary nerd, away!

Recently I started playing Pokemon SoulSilver at school and now 5 of my friends each bring their DS in too and we all play together, almost every school day.

Quoted "Babylon 5" during sex.
I'm trying really hard to think of the relevant quote you could have used....

O.T I don't know, maybe getting like 30 Star Wars EU novels from a charity shop.

Almost daily, I do or say something that makes me realize how nerdy I am. And since I'm studying physics, it's not even the fan-boy type nerdy, but instead the explanation of some physics phenomenon that I find interesting enough to share, and then everybody kind of either stares in amazement or ignores me while I ramble.

If anyone here has watched or read The World God Only Knows and has seen Keima's "God Mode" thingy... I tried it. And played 4 games at the same time... and it was easy. To this very day Im not satisfied unless I'm playing at least 2 games at once.

Now that I'm out of school, I get my ex-teachers to send me copies of all the major assignments, I go to into 5000 word essays with little research just for the fun of it.

Most days, if I get bored, I'll go to Wikipedia and select 'Random Article' and read the article completely, there are alot more chemical compounds on Wikipedia than most people think.

I've written my own historical tabletop wargame.Complete with full rules and unit statistics.

And then the countless attempts at fan-fiction.

I went to an exhibition in London last week, called the Doctor Who Experience dressed head to toe as David Tennant.

For a creative writing assignment back in high school, we had to write a poem in the style of another author. I chose Tolkien. I wrote a poem in Quenya, and carefully hand-wrote it in Tengwar script on nice paper. It even rhymed. I ONLY GOT A B+. SO ANGRY.
My friend did the exact same thing except... pokemon and he took his writing to lunch and read it to random people because of how proud he was of it.
That's just adorable. You don't happen to remember the poem?

Self-explanatory. Mine's a doozy: I've learned all the known oaths of the various corps from the Green Lantern comics, including that of the solo golden age Green Lantern and the Indigo Tribe, the latter of which currently exists only in the form of a strange new alien language no-one understands. Feel free to laugh right now. In my own defense, I drew the line at learning the Alpha Lantern oath because the Alpha Lanterns were jerks. So what about you guys? Chances are yours isn't as bad as mine, if that's any consolation.
You are not the only one well I only learn the Green, Red, Blue, Yellow (Sinestro) and I probably should re learn the Star Sapphire Crops Oath.
I suppose my nerdish moment was that my roommate was dating this Chinese girl and they offer me to go with them to this club were most Chinese people go to. I'm single (and Chinese) and I want to be in a relationship with a Chinese girl (well I would have dated other girls but Chinese is my preference). Chances are in my view I would of mostly gotten hook up or of not had a good time in that bar. Needless to say I turn down their offer because I wanted to play my online game and I was shy.

Had a public conversation on FaceBook with two friends of mine on which Mass Effect species we'd date and why. One of my friends concluded that he was too fragile to date krogan women, the other went for asari, and I chose turian. All of my other friends just left comments to the "???" effect. XD

I got a facebook and a mac, lol I know Im such a nerd rite!

Seriously though it was probably I wore my jedi dressing gown all day and spoke in nothing but star wars quotes, everyone thought I was joking around for the first hour, but I'd promised myself to go the full day, then act like nothing had happened the next day.

Not impressive I know.
