Checking the last couple of pages, I guess this should stay in the Games Industry Discussion forum after all.

Social Justice Warrior. Hmmm... the warrior part implies aggressive determination typically through discussions/arguments, advocating/lobbying for a perceived righting of toxic gender roles/classist conceptions/wrongs in a culture, or even just a push back against a percieved aggressive cultural agenda/idea/change/status quo.

So...Reptilians.

They would be the opposite.

Avoid aggressive debates, and keep everyone nice and quiet/pliable with mindless TV, fatty drinks and ignorance cakes.
Eerily relevant avatar for such a statement.

OT: Another opposite would be a borderline fascist judging if we're going by the horseshoe theory. I've had to do a lot of work regarding wartime Italy, the fascists there aren't quite what we typically think of when someone says that word, but one of the themes was just how similar the fascists and anti-fascists were. The difference was that the fascists owned the label and positioned what they were doing as good, meanwhile the anti-fascists defined themselves as not being those guys over there, and framed whatever they were doing as good simply because its something fascists didn't like, despite using a lot of the same tactics.

Right now, I don't think there's really an antithesis running around that is simultaneously socially acceptable, since right-wing grassroots groups are given such a bad rap even if they aren't being autocratic about achieving their aims.

Damn OP, you've got me thinking there.

Yep, spot on. This is about the most candid and accurate response to this thread I've seen.

Just look at the number of (completely) different responses this thread has generated to answer the thread question. And that result gels quite nicely with how many different definitions and interpretations of "SJW" there are.

I cannot read his mind but I read it as a reaction to all the bad tactics employed against those labelled as members of gamergate (both sides seem to be employing bad tactics and neither one is justified in doing so.)
You could be right, but I quoted him directly and asked him to clarify, and he never did.

Furthermore, in a previous discussion I had with the same user, he mentioned that he believed Anita Sarkeesian deserved the "backlash" that she got, so that also does not put my mind at ease.

Besides, it only takes mind reading if there isn't regular reading to be done.

How, if gamergate takes it as gospel, can they also debunk it at the same time?
Curious as to why you rewrote that to say almost exactly the same thing bu t in backwards order.

TFYC debunked it. GamerGate is still going on about it even though it's not true. This is completely unsurprising.

And pardon me if I'm not going to take your word since you refuse to take mine.
