I basically get to surf the web for the entire time I'm there unless there is a customer. Sadly I get a lot of the problem customers but all in all I really like my job and the good outweighs the bad by a long shot.

I can read manga or suoperhero comics or novels at work, and as long as I make sure not to do it so often that I get behind in my workflow I can read a lot of stuff that I'm not really supposed to read during worktime.

Working alone, since its a small business and the only time I see another person is at the end of my shift when they relieve me.

Sure it might not sound like much, but its nice just getting a few hours a day alone with my thoughts since my job doesnt require much thought. Put stuff in box, affix address label, put in stack to be shipped.

Gives me plenty of time to think over everything and nothing all at once, its quite cathartic

Let's see. Two things.
1. I make more money than anyone else I know my age.
2. Free food. Lots and lots of free food.

Since I don't have a job, NOTHING!! I hate not having a job. Oh sure it sounds good at first, but without a job I don't have any income for starters and also I feel lost and without purpose.

I'm not sure why but your avatar made that statement about 40x funnier XD

I don't have a job, so, uh.
I guess I'll go ;_;

I get paid to make things go boom. Well, that's the main part of my job description. The rest of the time, I do abso-feckin'-lutely nothing.

Here's a rough description of what I do. These guys aren't quite doing it right, but it looks damn good, doesn't it?

Anyway, I'm in country (Afghanistan) right now, and to be perfectly honest, if I could get faster Internet - fast enough to play MMOs and stream things - I would be perfectly content.
Oh, and I'm making bank, and hardly realize it. I'm typing this on a $3,200 laptop. I really doubt I'd have this if I had a civilian job.

I love my job. Except for the scads of superiors. Some are great, but the ones that really count are sometimes... less than stellar. The Army has its ups and downs.

I get to laugh at funny ID pictures that customers sent into the office. We used to have a "wall of fame" for the most hilarious pictures

While it isn't my job YET, I'm currently student teaching at a middle school (which is feeling more like where I want to end up when I get a teaching job) band. What I love about this job is seeing the looks in my students' eyes when we play. Especially if it is something that they love and can find the beauty in, then it makes all the work behind the scenes and putting up with discipline absolutely worth it.

For example: For warm-up my students play short exercises from a method book before diving into music for our concert, which includes simplified version of the Main Title music. Yesterday they played an excerpt from the main theme of Swan Lake. What they didn't know, and what I was having them listen for, was a series of 3 notes that also appear in the main from of the Imperial March from Star Wars. Yeah, that just happened. Here go listen to them:

As you should be able to tell, John William's based part of the Imperial March off of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. And seeing the look on the faces of my 6th grade class when they realized that makes all the hard work and long hours worth it.

I like how two of my friends work there and that it is easy.

I don't like the terrible pay or the cuts to my hours.

Pros do not outweigh the cons.

I like how I very rarely have to deal with customers and most of the time I work by myself so I'm free to listen to my ipod almost the entire time.

The pay.

That's about it really. I work service at Coles so hearing people ***** about what is and isn't on special doesn't really make for fun times.

I drive around photographing people and stuff and I get paid for it. What is there not to like? OK, it is really difficult when something bad has happened, especially when it affects kids, I find that hard, you can work through it concentrating on composition and divorcing yourself from the pain of other, but that shit catches up with you when you're not working. Still I've probably been through the worst I'll have to deal with. I'm on an inner city paper now, and I haven't had to cover anything as bad as the 2009 Black Saturday fires since then. I still have to cover Very Special Kids and as a parent that is pretty hard, but they do such good work that I can work through it.

EMS?
I like how every dispatch is different and you never know what it will be. We also have beds, internet, TV and a big comfy couch and if you're lucky you may have nothing to do for hours.
It's fun even though pay is bad and some days are really stressful.

Half my shift is spent in a spot where I can study for class, do homework, listen to music, browse the internet, and/or watch TV.

While I do enjoy it, I still can't wait to get into armed security so what I actually do is more security-related.

Actually, my job is awesome; I maintain weapons systems on fighter jets for the USAF. It can get to be a day-in, day-out kind of a thing, so I try to stop and remind myself from time to time that it really is an incredible opportunity.

My job is pretty awesome, I watch sports games and type in boxscores and other stats, I do enjoy sports which makes it very simple and an enjoyable task.
