Preach it, brother.
Seriously?
I loved that ending.
It was grim and unfair, but at least it came as a surprise and it was in tone with the movie.

My number 1 would have to be Gamer.
God that ending sucked worse than anything I had ever seen before.
It was just so... bad.

The end of Paranormal Activity ruined it. Jesus christ it was terrible...I'm sitting in the theater pissing in my pants cause that movie is really freaky. the build-up throughout the whole movie is great and it really gets you freaked out. then the end takes a massive dump on what you have just watched by being a retarded piece of garbage.
Did you see the cinematic ending (she chucks his corpse at the camera) or the original bootleg ending in which she murders him downstairs and sits rocking in front of the camera for 2 days before the cops investigate and she comes to her senses and walks at them, not know she has the knife in hand and they gun her down?

Magnolia. The movie was compelling, it had a great concept (I was waiting for all the connections to be brought to some amazing revalation)..then frogs started raining from the sky...

The Mist...

The ending of that movie made me want to kick a puppy. Even talking about it sorta pisses me off a little.

Well, the last two films I watched ended with Paris gettig fucked, so I'll go with that.

(28 Weeks Later, The Happening, and the random film about lightning that I just watched do it)

The end of The Patriot. The Stephen Segal one, not the Mel Gibson one.

OMG FLOWERS! OMG PONY!

Seriously, up to that point, it was halfway decent.

The second jackie chan Drunken Master film which was basically
"oh, yeah he's still drunk so he can't be here, bye" *credits role*

made it seem like jackie couldn't be around to finish the film.
That was a edit done to the original ending. In the original Chinese version (I have it on DVD somewhere in my pile o' kung-fu films), the alcohol caused brain damage to Jackie's character, so he's shown after the "ceremony" wandering around looking totally goofy...it was considered offensive, so they hacked it out for the English version.

My vote for worst ending...the "updated" version of Planet Of The Apes, starring Marky Mark (sans Funky Bunch). What the HELL was going on with that? Ape Lincoln?

Bio-Dome, My friend rented it and it was the only movie we had to watch on the trip down to Ocean City. I had a headache at the end of that ride. Thank you Pauly Shore thank you.

Come on what was wrong with The Mist.

Did you not like how after he killed 4-5 people including his son the military came just a few minutes later? I kind of liked the ending.

OT: Knowing, come on fucking aliens? I would have been happier if they all died.
I found the ending a pointless and poor way to end(I have read the book) it has much better ending which is proberly why i disliked the ending

RE:Knowing, Oh yes i know what you mean whay couldn't it been just Angels or somethin'

Minority Report

Now that's a horrible movie to begin with, but the cheesy ending literally made my cry out in pain:
- first the villain is faced with a dilemma: should he kill the hero but go to prison for it, or spare him and thus prove that his invention doesn't work. He chooses the third option: killing himself. Why, you ask? Nobody knows, it doesn't make the least bit of sense.
- then, of course, the flawed system is abolished and those wronged by it live happily and quietly in a beautiful cottage
- worst of all, the protagonist doesn't only reunite with his ex-wife, she's also pregnant to replace that dead kid of theirs - ARGH

And don't come at me with that lame excuse "that's all his nice fantasy, they do that in their prison" - there's not one hint that implies that except from how bad the ending is. It's not even seen from his perspective, we see the girl rescuing him and so on, things he wouldn't see in his fantasy.

On a side note: A lot of people seem to complain about endings being bad just because the end with the hero dead or the situation worsened or whatnot. I'd choose such interesting, surprising, innovative endings over the cheesy old standard villain-dead-hero-happy-ending all the time. Nothing worse than an ending predictable to the bone.

Although I have to admit in that aspect, Minority Report's ending wasn't that bad: even I didn't expect the ending to be THAT awful.
