What's the worst illness, disease or accident you have ever had?

Quite a simple question really. Has anybody ever caught any 'exotic' illness? Has anybody ever lost a body part to an accident? Anybody had scale itch (cookie for reference)? Or maybe the worst you have had is man flu.

Due to a healthy diet and regular exercise my immune system is top notch, so the worst I have ever had is seasonal flu, which feels awful at the time, but is not terrible on the scale of things. The worst I have known is a friend of mine got malaria, but shook it off within two weeks, to the amazement of his doctors.

I was in the hospital last summer with Crohn's. That sucked. Lost 20 pounds in about 2-2.5 weeks, and am just now getting back to the weight I was at previously.

I had pneumonia for a month in kindergarten, and then I had a pretty excellent head injury in high school that my doctor suspects is responsible for the seizures I still have many, many years later. I haven't been seriously sick with anything worse than a bad cold in almost as many years, though, oddly enough.

Some nasty bug that meant i was exploding from both ends but thankfully never at the exact same time. Also a very fast metabolisom that puts me into hypoglycemia if i don't eat properly every 6 hours but thats nothing comparred to most things out there. That doesn't even top an itch.

I lost my balls when i got married though...

When I was about a year old I had this rare virus or something that almost killed me. Seriously, I had a fever of over 105 and everyone was afraid I would die. I forgot exactly what it was.

I got chicken pox at 32 ;( felt like crap for a good few months after; apparently it's worse as an adult if you've never had it.
Never had any serious illnesses though.

broke my leg, thinked everything was ok, went to doctor one week later, broken leg, 3 nights and 2 days in hospital whitout food only 2 dl whater 00.00 for only the two first nights, got a screw in my foot, woke up after operationg got 2 and a half REALLY big morfin shots so I won't feel the pain in my leg, went home but the plaster stoped the blood in my leg so I was forced to go back to the hospital two times to adjust the plaster (first night) and after that get a new one beacose I would loose my leg if I would keep my first plaster (second night), got new plaster for 6 weeks, walked on cruches for 8 weeks, one month later I needed to remove the screw, one week more whith cruches and now I only got a shitty scar not even a lolipop and after all that shit for 3-4 months together I never ever will go to the doctor no matter what if I'm so F***ing bleeding to death.... So I got tecnically Fu*ked in the a*s whith a big wobly stick
