The games almost always end up looking like one-sided annihilation rather than a fight. I can only recall a handful of games where we lose within 50 tickets of the other team.
Sounds like you just have bad luck when it comes to team stacking; after the first couple of steam rolls, the server admin really should have scrambled the teams. If you're playing on a console, well, that's one of the problems with playing console games online; no server admins.AtheistGuy said:The games almost always end up looking like one-sided annihilation rather than a fight. Truth. As a digital distribution platform, it's actually one of the least obnoxious I've ever used -- and since Gamestop bought out Impulse, it's probably the least obnoxious major platform left (I just bought Neverwinter Nights through Impulse. Gamestop seems to have screwed up some very basic features while putting their logo all over the place). The problem is the datamining clause in the EULA, but even that's been largely blown out of proportion.bahumat42 said:having used origin, while its not perfect, its far from the scourge people paint it as.AtheistGuy said:Well it's better than the problem of playing on PC: Origin.Owyn_Merrilin said:Sounds like you just have bad luck when it comes to team stacking; after the first couple of steam rolls, the server admin really should have scrambled the teams. You do realize they scan your computer for the applications you use and read your e-mails right? The fact that they're actually banning for no apparent reason isn't helping.Owyn_Merrilin said:Truth. Edit: Especially since, you know, Microsoft and Sony almost definitely keep track of the same information about their console customers; Origin's EULA is something for PC gamers to complain about, but console gamers should not be throwing stones from their glass houses.
They changed the terms ages ago.AtheistGuy said:You do realize they scan your computer for the applications you use and read your e-mails right? The fact that they're actually banning for no apparent reason isn't helping.
And bans on the forums prevent you from playing any games that use Origin.DazZ. said:They changed the terms ages ago.AtheistGuy said:You do realize they scan your computer for the applications you use and read your e-mails right? Also the bans are forum related, which still isn't right.

Really? Do you have any evidence that I could feast my eyes upon? Any investigative reports or something, that would be great =P.AtheistGuy said:You do realize they scan your computer for the applications you use and read your e-mails right? I have literally never had this problem. Maybe the people you end up with are just accidentally awful.AtheistGuy said:The games almost always end up looking like one-sided annihilation rather than a fight. I can only recall a handful of games where we lose within 50 tickets of the other team.
I hope this proves something. http://s1.directupload.net/file/d/2691/fglehhsj_jpg.htmVampire cat said:Hm, I usually get really good games in conquest. Not uncommon that the battle ends with the winning team having less than 10 tickets left, I've even ended on 1-0 several times =3. Bad luck I guess, though I have been in battles that ended 250-0 so it does happen... Try find a good set of servers that have some good admins. I have a few favorites where most of the games are balanced.

I always find it a bit strange when people start going on about how "they" read your e-mails and such (they being any company or oganization ever accused of this). In Norway we had a massive arm-flail about some DLD laws that would allow the police and government to look at information on peoples PCs if they were suspected of something. People went COMPLETELY apefeces, but I read the law itself and it's EXTREMELY strict. It can ONLY be used against people they can prove has done something illegal which would put them in jail for AT LEAST 2 YEARS, which is much more than you get in Norway for downloading a movie... So it only affects serious criminals. The information they get is also no where near as detailed as people thought, they can for example not see the contents of an e-mail, only that you sent it and where/who you sent it too. They can't even see the induvidual web-sites you access...
*ahem* seem to have derailed a bit there... Point is, why the hell would EA (or any other large company) have any interest in reading my e-mails? Or yours, for that matter? If they really DO read them, why? By Sithis, there is NO good reason that I can think of why a game publishing company like EA would spend some of their admitedly vast resources on "spying" on their users like that. And were they ever caught doing something like that it would be so illegal it's painful...
All this said I'm not a very up-to-date person, so I'm sure someone will throw in my face some kind of news article about some people that could prove EA had done this to them, and EA was fined a bunch and so on and so forth... I still cannot grasp WHY they would do it...
But wasnt this exclusive to Germany due to some kind of yipyap about some kind of doohikey? *cough*AtheistGuy said:I hope this proves something. http://s1.directupload.net/file/d/2691/fglehhsj_jpg.htm
Scan your computer? Yes, just like a console. Read your e-mails? Not so much. There's a clause in that EULA that says they're still bound by EA's privacy policy; it's bad, but it's not as bad as everyone seems to think it is. The real problem here is that everyone loves Valve and hates EA, so they attack EA much harder for its failings than they would dare to attack Valve.AtheistGuy said:You do realize they scan your computer for the applications you use and read your e-mails right?
