The games almost always end up looking like one-sided annihilation rather than a fight. I can only recall a handful of games where we lose within 50 tickets of the other team.

Sounds like you just have bad luck when it comes to team stacking; after the first couple of steam rolls, the server admin really should have scrambled the teams. If you're playing on a console, well, that's one of the problems with playing console games online; no server admins.

Well it's better than the problem of playing on PC: Origin.

having used origin, while its not perfect, its far from the scourge people paint it as.
Truth. As a digital distribution platform, it's actually one of the least obnoxious I've ever used -- and since Gamestop bought out Impulse, it's probably the least obnoxious major platform left (I just bought Neverwinter Nights through Impulse. Gamestop seems to have screwed up some very basic features while putting their logo all over the place). The problem is the datamining clause in the EULA, but even that's been largely blown out of proportion.

Edit: Especially since, you know, Microsoft and Sony almost definitely keep track of the same information about their console customers; Origin's EULA is something for PC gamers to complain about, but console gamers should not be throwing stones from their glass houses.

I have a temporary solution if your playing on XBOX. It's temporary because it doesn't help balance the game at all.

In case of being stuck in an annihilation loop on Conquest, go to your rear spawn point and hide. Spawn as a Support with a Mortar and bomb the hell out of the winners. This won't probably work on PC since they have admins to hate this sort of thing, but XBOX doesn't have admins to fix things anyways.

The only things to fear are, other mortars (Look for their Icons on random sweeps), lucky snipers (be selective on your mortar position to avoid this), and enemy vehicles (Most ground vehicles will have trouble, but air vehicles might get lucky. Don't underestimate either.)

Then swap to the other team whenever you get the chance. It's broken and retarded, but until admins or players fix this then your on your own for amusement.

You do realize they scan your computer for the applications you use and read your e-mails right? The fact that they're actually banning for no apparent reason isn't helping.

I've had a few round where it was 10vs10 tickets down to the wire. Some teams will just kick the ass of other teams. And other times the teams are evenly matched. Statistically, one side should dominate the other, if even by only a little.

They changed the terms ages ago.

Also the bans are forum related, which still isn't right.

And bans on the forums prevent you from playing any games that use Origin.

I haven't noticed that in the game. Not more so than any other online FPS I've played, anyway.

Now that you mention conquest... I find some of the maps to rather disappointing. Seine Crossing, Davamand Peak and Operation Metro to be precise. They really should expand theses maps and gives us more routes, as it is right now games on these maps often end up as a meatgrind in the center, with neither team advancing.

Hm, I usually get really good games in conquest. Not uncommon that the battle ends with the winning team having less than 10 tickets left, I've even ended on 1-0 several times =3. Bad luck I guess, though I have been in battles that ended 250-0 so it does happen... Try find a good set of servers that have some good admins. I have a few favorites where most of the games are balanced.

Really? Do you have any evidence that I could feast my eyes upon? Any investigative reports or something, that would be great =P.

I always find it a bit strange when people start going on about how "they" read your e-mails and such (they being any company or oganization ever accused of this). In Norway we had a massive arm-flail about some DLD laws that would allow the police and government to look at information on peoples PCs if they were suspected of something. People went COMPLETELY apefeces, but I read the law itself and it's EXTREMELY strict. It can ONLY be used against people they can prove has done something illegal which would put them in jail for AT LEAST 2 YEARS, which is much more than you get in Norway for downloading a movie... So it only affects serious criminals. The information they get is also no where near as detailed as people thought, they can for example not see the contents of an e-mail, only that you sent it and where/who you sent it too. They can't even see the induvidual web-sites you access...

*ahem* seem to have derailed a bit there... Point is, why the hell would EA (or any other large company) have any interest in reading my e-mails? Or yours, for that matter? If they really DO read them, why? By Sithis, there is NO good reason that I can think of why a game publishing company like EA would spend some of their admitedly vast resources on "spying" on their users like that. And were they ever caught doing something like that it would be so illegal it's painful...

All this said I'm not a very up-to-date person, so I'm sure someone will throw in my face some kind of news article about some people that could prove EA had done this to them, and EA was fined a bunch and so on and so forth... I still cannot grasp WHY they would do it...

I have literally never had this problem. Maybe the people you end up with are just accidentally awful.

But wasnt this exclusive to Germany due to some kind of yipyap about some kind of doohikey? *cough*

I seem to remember reading about this, but I also seem to recall it was an exclusively German phenomenon for whatever reason, which caused a lot of comotion (understandibly). And what was the purpose of EA aparently doing this? Does anyone know?

Scan your computer? Yes, just like a console. Read your e-mails? Not so much. There's a clause in that EULA that says they're still bound by EA's privacy policy; it's bad, but it's not as bad as everyone seems to think it is. The real problem here is that everyone loves Valve and hates EA, so they attack EA much harder for its failings than they would dare to attack Valve.

I'm not too sure about Conquest. I tend to stay away from it, but my friends love to play it. It kind of ends up being a "campfest", requiring me to escape (somehow) and setup a spawn point on the opposite side of the map so people can move out.

I really wish that, if your side started camping people in their spawn, it would reduce the amount of damage you can do to things/people in their base to the point in which you deal 0 damage, and they are still dealing full damage. That would provide enough leeway for players to break out and get a comeback. As it stands, they are able to trounce the base and take them out.
