What's up with Cracked.com's community?

Now granted I only am getting my view of the community on that site from the comments sections and the user created Topics but they seem to be a really negative bunch. I never really go on the forums there (because they're a bit of an eyesore and I wasn't well greeted on them) so maybe I'm just not getting the whole picture. But what do my fellow Escapists think? Do any of you take part in the community there? What do you guys think attract trolls to that site?

Well I only go there to read the articles. I ignore the people there cause I already have the escapist.

I literally just go on there daily and read stuff. Its amazing it gives you little facts that you can tell people. Or they are just funny. They are just AWESOME!

Articles are great, but the commenters are nearly as bad as the ones on Youtube... plus there are so many spambots on the site too. Also they seem to have this thing against Cody Johnston. Granted his videos aren't particularly funny; but he doesn't deserve the level of hate that he gets.

Oh, they're all anonymous idiots who take their anger out on other anonymous idiots, or spambots with website links that will inject your computer with viruses.

Similar minds attract one another; where there are intelligent people, there will be more intelligent people; where there are idiots, there will be other idiots.

It makes avoiding the people you don't like a lot easier.

I certainly hope not that you're suggesting that 'The Escapist' qualifies as an intelligent community, right? It certainly is less idiotic than your average board, but this too has its fair share of idiots and whiny fools.

As for the Cracked.com community. From what I've gathered it's either full of fulltime YouTube commenters, spambots and with a 'in-group' that's relatively awesome, if you enjoy such humor and style.

I love Swaim and DOB. And now Bowie. So yes, I thought Agents of Cracked was the greatest thing ever.

But no, I don't know anything about the community other than the comments, and having seen them, I have no desire to see more. Most of them seem to be people who think they're hilarious. Sometimes - rarely - they are. Most of the time, they're just offensive. (Oh har har I'm better than you because I make edgy racist or sexist comments and thrive on your negative reactions!)

This is why I love the Escapist. It's pretty much free from that juvenile brand of idiocy.

I love Cracked so much. So, so, so much. I have nothing against The Escapist, but Cracked leaves it for dead I'm afraid. Articles here just aren't allowed to be as funny as they are on Cracked. Everyday I read Cracked's articles. I read. I laugh. I learn. I love.

Michael Swaim is and always has been a God of the internet. Those Aren't Muskets was (and still is) brilliant. Cracked TV/Does Not Compute is great. Agents of Cracked was amazing. After Hours has had a good start and is turning out great.

Dan O'Brien was also in Agents of Cracked, and defaults to being awesome. Also his first-person character articles are brilliant. DOB's character as a womanising sociopath is really well crafted. As far as the term "crafted" can be spread to a womanising sociopath that is. He's really good at those articles is what I'm saying.

Soren Bowie was also in Agents of Cracked as T-Bone, who was awesome. He hasn't been writing articles on the site for a long time, but he's doing good so far. His article about his sexual conquest of Ke$ha was great. Also he's in After Hours with Swaim, DOB and Katie Witters which as I said, is doing well.

I've run out of synonyms of good so I'll stop here. God I love that site. No offence to anyone running the show over here, but given the choice, I wouldn't be here.
