It's really not that bad a game.

At least I don't see it as that bad compared to most of the ravings on almost every forum on the planet... (jokes).. xD

Clearly a difference of opinion and the availability to jump on the escapist is why there are so many threads popping up on a regular basis bashing this or that about the game. Move on eh?

You like it or you don't? Weather you feel you were cheated or not. There is always going to be a AAA title that gets overhyped to buggery and draw in the masses only to dissapoint a fare few.

I like to put myself in the category of someone who does play MW2 on a semi regular basis that couldn't give a stuff what the next "John Gabriel" G.I.D believes I should think based on their opinion.

Can you link me to the video your avatar was from? (Yes, I could have PMed you, but to me that's like seeing somebody who's having a conversation then asking them to go outside in the back alley well you ask them where they got their pink flip flops.)

Single player is amazingly short. The missions aren't even that interesting, there's only about two that are worth replaying. Once again Infinity Ward decided to over use the Clown Closet spawning system, and where they don't they just spam you with enough enemies that it feels the same. And the death of the main character was abused. It was emotional when it happened in Modern Warfare the first time, not so much the... what? Fourth time?

Multiplayer broken into itty-bitty bits. Unbalanced guns, over-powered perks, glitches, ludicrous numbers of camping spots, and unbalanced perks. Not to mention the community is annoying, loud, and hostile.

Spec-Ops is pretty fun though, thank god it came with split-screen co-op, really the game's only saving grace. However, it doesn't shine over the massive flaws of the game.

EDIT: New page! Woohoo! That's good luck!
You forgot to mention the lack of dedicated servers and how the new system they implemented is also broken. Never once did I ever see the host migration work.

Gaaaaaaaah, enough of these topics, please! There are dozens upon dozens of "Why the hate on MW2" topics alone, never minding the countless others for every hated thing ever. I vote we start boycotting these!
Better Topic: Why the MW2 "Why the Hate" Topics?

And, I'm just getting CoD 4 as we speak, never played 6, so I have no right to talk.

Single Player=4 hours long. Uhhhh what the fuck?
And I played in on Veteran and it didn't last that much longer so stfu Infinity Ward.

Multiplayer- Broken and imbalanced with an asinine community full of campers.

Spec Ops is good times though.

In all my life playing online games, never before have I seen more cheaters than when playing MW2. When I played CS:S for 5 years I saw, maybe, 2 hackers who were promptly banned. In MW2 I'd be lucky to play a game without one. Also, the added maps AREN'T added to the usual rotation, it's a game mode on it's own......what the hell is up with that?!
And, did you hear, they are pulling this "classic" maps shit for the new map pack! There is only two new ones out of five maps! The fuck?!

Whilst IWNET is nowhere near what dedicated servers could've provided, host migration has only failed on me once or twice when it happens.... which isn't as much since we upgraded our internet plan to 8Mbps/386Kbps. xD But that is my experiance against yours. :)

Well the story was cheap and the campaign was too short, and the online multiplayer is just BROKEN. I gave up on it soon after finishing the offline aspect and went back to CoD4.

Seriously, the multiplayer for Call of Duty 4 is balanced and fun, and Modern Warfare 2 is the exact opposite. There aren't even any good sniping maps! Wasteland doesn't count, as everybody goes into that stupid bunker anyway.

Call of Duty 4 was a leap forward from CoD 1 and 2 (3 doesn't count because Grey Matter AKA Treyarch SUCKS), but MW2 was a leap back. I'm glad it's more or less dropped the CoD name because it isn't a Call of Duty, just a cheap knockoff.

I literary feel like my blood pressure raises when I play mw2 at a friends house. It's not frustrating because I suck or because of bugs, it pisses me off because of how poorley made it is and how freaking overrated. I don't see how anyone can think that mw2 is a good game, not saying it's completely enjoyably but considering other games out there mw2 is mediocre at best.

Its because everyone still won't shut up about it here. The game itself isn't bad at all but the fanboy boasting is the worst.

/flameshield

Its almost as bad as Twilight gushing or Halo defenders. Boosh!

It is very boring, in my opinion?

I'd explain, but, you clearly have your bias and I have mine.

I would like to point something out, I know it's called camo, and is supposed to hide you; but frankly the new color scheme simply does not work for me. Granted I am colorblind, but Call Of Duty 4 worked just fine! It was also one of my favorite games of all time, well I shouldn't say favorite, we'll go with favorite online shooter.
And then you have the single player, like everyone else has said, its short; hell it's really really short. I should not pay $60 for something that I can literally finish on the hardest difficulty in one night. Even if you were willing to look past the length, the actual story itself is simply lacking. In Modern Warfare the worst thing that happened in the whole game was the nuke that went off, and that was brilliantly done, honestly jaw dropping, I loved it! Aside from that nothing ever really ended, sure other nukes were launched, but you raced against time to save the world. Isn't that something we as gamers have come to know and love? Either saving the world or ruining it. Not having countless horrible things happen only to at the end of the day be on the opposite side of the world and kill one guy and apparently everything is hunky dory? No thank you.
And the multiplayer... This is where I really decided this game was bad. They ruined it, anyone who is like me and has play Call Of Duty since the first title should agree. It was wonderfully simple, you ran around and hid and killed each other or fought for objectives. Now everyone just camps and waits for their chance to get the nuke or big plane of ultimate death, or other stupidly unbalanced killstreak reward.

So in short, it's simply not worth your money, in my humble opinion of course.

-edit, by the way, just wanted to say I've missed you guys! It's been like, a year since I've really posted, and it's good to be back.

when I run right pass them stabbing into the air and still kill my enemy, something has gone terribly wrong.

Camping isn't a issue, yes, it is a strategy. The problem is that the game doesn't give you any strategy to take care of them so everyone does it. It isn't fun playing death match and nothing is ever accomplished in objective based games.

Rewarding kills with cheap kills just pisses every other player off, getting awarded for sucking doesn't help you get better either and pisses off the other players.

half the guns are useless and about two-thirds of what is left only works depending on what perks the other person has. Whats left are the guns that EVERY-ONE uses and are so godly that iron sights are not needed. No point talking about the snipers, everyone already hates them.

ARMY DOES NOT GO AKIMBO!!!! by doing so, you toss one of the most important rules out the window, efficiency.

I have many more, these ones just bug me the most.
