Oh Japan, once again you've left me confused, terrified and aroused all at the same time.
I don't speak or read japanese very well and all I got out of that was 200% and hot, mostly naked chicks. Is that what this game is about?

Well... That was wierd.
Granted, not as weird as some of the other stuff i've seen (aka, Excel Saga, FLCL), but still kinda just out there.

No, the Uncanny Valley is the point where going further up in the photo-realism scale causes us to notice the unrealistic more and more. This is why a well drawn 2D character looks more human too us, then a low polygon 3D model, despite it´s added realism of the third dimension. And a high-polygon 3D model, where things are just slighly off, can be even more uncanny. And yes, anime girls count, since they are a display of a human being, they too fall under this line.Vern said:

But I´ve seen this Animation style pretty often actually (taking a still picture and moving, flexing and bending stuff inside it to make it look like it´s moving), and it is always borderline creepy.
On the wierd factor, this is how I know Japan to be. If I ever go there, I´ll find the next japanese person and tell them that "Anime, Hentai and Movies depicting Japan make your Country look like it´s full of freaks!". I know that Japan can put out alot of weird stuff (they are probably responsible for 80% of all fetishs imaginable), but seeing this...this is probably just false advertising. Japan is quick to sell with the sex factor, even when it is a blatant lie.
Well that certainly looks like a high quality RPG with enough faith in its story and gameplay elements to not use hypersexualized marketing resembling fetishistic soft porn without any context to it at all.

How many anime series do you see out there where fusing your mechs occur by simply slamming the littler one into place as a head? or galaxies as shuriken? hell, the mech's alone can get added up there as just odd. It's nowhere near as wierd or out there as FLCL, and gets pretty damn close to Excel Saga, but still... It's wierd.
