Redguard strong warrior with strong destruction spells and a minor in healing
Adrenaline rush is pretty cool, and resists never hurt.

It took me a while but I warmed up to my toon ;-)

couldnt do cats and lizards. Nords are already everwhere. elves look ugly/skinny...

Orc, I wanted to play as an Orc in Oblivion but I couldnt just die to how hideous they made them. Thankfully in Skyrim they've become easily the most badass looking race.
Also bullshit Redguards are the most naturally gifted warriors in Tamriel, whats that you can regen Stamina faster? Oh thats cool, I can deal double damage and receive half damage, so yeah, take that ya pansies

Nord. Because they're based on the coolest and most underrated ancient civilization of all time and because any dragon that breathes frost instead of flame is easier to kill.
Kinda boring but I didn't want to be a cat and elves only look badass in LOTR.

Dunmer, Dunmer and more Dunmer.

Also, in case no one else mentions it, Dunmer.

Although orcs are kinda cool, too.
Same here. I've been a dark elf in Oblivion, now I'm dark elf in Skyrim. :D

Chose an Argonian in Oblivion, disappointed the water breathing natural ability was made redundant since I found a helmet which let me breath underwater anyway ¬_¬ also seeing scales on my hands in first person and having a tail in third was kind of strange for me.

Started with Breton in Skyrim, wanted to be pure mage but I made the stupidest mistake (which I don't want to get into) that made me start all over again.

During my play time in Skyrim with my Breton (before my humiliating mishap) I noticed there's a great deal of racism to non-Nords, so I made a Nord stealth Archer, and not a single person criticized me for choosing a particular race. So yeah, I guess my favourite race is Nord.

Also Nord sounds a bit like nerd, which is what I am.

Altmer are SO fucking good in Skyrim it's amazing. Highborn is the most useful ability a magic-heavy character can ask for, and just having a spare 50 magicka is a godsend, as well.

I also tried playing an Orc warrior, but his Shouting sounded... weird. Altmer Shouts sound powerful and clear, and the Orc voice just kind of grunted. I meh'd.

Argonian!

Although when I next do a playthrough, I'm gonna do a Khajiit unarmed heavy armour specialist, with that heavy armour perk that gives you a bonus to unarmed equal to your armour rating, and the "Gloves of the Pugilist' enchantment.

Literally punch a dragon to death, how cool is that?!

I just got the game last week and have spent a good amount of time as a Nord. I just like being a badass in a frozen-mountain filled wasteland

Altmer, I particularly like the turn they have taken with them in Skyrim to the point that I tried to act as a thalmer agent rooting out all things related to talos.
Whereas I took great pleasure in murdering three Thalmor Justicars and freeing their Nord captive en route to a Daedric quest last night.

I agonized for some time over what to play in my primary playthrough of Skyrim, but wound up going with the default male Nord just because it felt right. I wanted to be Skyrim's native son and restore pride to Nordic shouting, kind of like what Maurice Richard was to hockey in Quebec back in the day.

I've also got a High Elf and a Wood Elf in the pipe with whom I plan to explore different playstyles later on.

Argonian is always the best looking, imo.

Breton's have naturally high magic resistance (50% holy shit!) and Orc's have that double-damage, half-damage buff (huge!)! Also good.

I haven't even tried them all yet. I've got an unarmed-only Kajiit because they've got that +15 damage unarmed I wanted to try out.

I've got (I think it's Dunmer) destruction based character too. I killed a bunch of people (as many as possible, weeeee) and then I found out how to actually become a Dark Brotherhood (wasn't just a free civilian kill for no reason this time).

I want to try a Nord and some of those 'normal' races. Try an illusion spec but I've already got two mages.

Maybe two-hander weapons?

Any recommendations?

This is the same build for my character. My Redguard is also a damn good smith and has some snazzy red warpaint.

At the moment I still play imperial. But if I was to start the game again I would most likely pick something like Dark Elf or Argonian because of their feats and perks and also because they look awesome.

I like the khajiit for aesthetic and cultural reasons. Plus I like making characters that look like my cats. :3

Khajiits and Dunmer for sure. Both too awesome to pick one unfortunately. I do love pretty much all of them however.
