What's your current music "obsession"

Hm. Mostly either rock(all eras) or comedy. Lot of Tool and Led Zepplin, then a list of all sorts of things, Seether, Cage the Elephant, She Wants Revenge, Primus, The Darkness. Into comedy(musical), Flight of the Conchords and Stephen Lynch both get a lot of play for me and I have a number of albums by Weird Al or Dr. Demento compilations that go into regular rotation.

Outside of those two main genres I kind of jump into anything if I think its either really well played or I like the lyrics. Deltron 3030, Slick Rick, Digital Underground and Eminem all probably fall into 'Rap' even if they are different eras. Daft Punk, Benni Benassi, Fatboy Slim are all electronic. Then I can't help but put on things like Mr. Bungle when I want something from a weird category.

Kanye West, he wouldn't be in my normal genres but the man's a genius.

As well as Yeezy's newest, I've lately been listening quite a lot to an underground Mississippi rapper-producer called Big K.R.I.T. It's pure gold. Crushes many albums.

Oh, and I've recently caught my ear to Cee-Lo Green's The Lady Killer. It took a while, but now I love it.

Been listening to Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss and Them Crooked Vultures for years, but never caught on to this other work/collaboration with Josh Homme- it's pretty good. Plus, "Death by Sexy" is probably one of the best album titles I've ever heard

I've been listening to a lot of Breathe Carolina and The Word Alive lately

First person I've seen who listens to The Word Alive on here. Incredible band. I've been hooked on them, Asking Alexandria, and Greeley Estates recently.

I always turn to Porcupine Tree, particularly every album since 2003's In Absentia. Too often probably, I fear I may become bored of their albums if I listen too much.

Addicted...hmmm not so much, I switch my music around a lot. But I have been listening to The Red Hot Chili Pepper's By The Way and Californication albums a damned lot lately.

Same as my obsession normally is: orchestral scores.

I'm particularly hooked on two tracks from the Mass Effect 2 soundtrack: "The End Run" and "Suicide Mission".

What a coincidence. I just bought Victoria 2 and the first thing I noticed about that game was it's insanely amazing orchestral soundtrack;
And plenty more. And Suicide Mission is by far my fav ME2 song, good gods that song was epic, the whole damned scene made me punch the air in a loud "BOOYA!!!" Only to loose poor Grunt while they held the door. He died a glorious death. *salutes* Even Miranda, the stuck-up *****, shall be missed.

Edit: Oh and Victoria 2's OST reminded me of a similar orchestral OST, namely Arcanum's:
And more like that. Gah I love it, despite it's graphical limitations (even for it's day) it's so very atmospheric, also thanks to that music.

I've been listening to AC/DC for about 19 years and I still can't get enough of them, seeing them live in June was the greatest moment of my life. I don't know what it is, those guys have got to be the most talented musicians to ever grace God's green Earth. Also, I saw Rage Against the machine at the same festival and I can't stop listening to them now; exactly the same as Steel panther.

Ah... you went to Download? I hear it was good. I went to Sonisphere, but I would have killed several people to see AC/DC.

OT: Been listening to The Damned Things new album. Guys from Anthrax, Fallout Boy and Every Time I Die, making sweet love METULZ!!!
